Would you always get an evap line??

Am on the Temping buddies thread and have already moaned about this today but I've done three internet 10mius pg tests (am now 13dpo) - one yesterday pm with fairly diluted pee, one this am with FMU and one this pm with fairly diluted pee. With the first there was the faintest line to squint at, with nos 2 and 3 a faintest of faint lines appeared after 5 mins and I've now kept them and the line is still vaguely visible. It is a wide line and I reckon resembles very pale pink (or am I just thinking that)

I did a test in water later on as it was driving me made and no evap line came up (is that because just water?).

So would you always get an evap line if negative or if not is it co-incidence that I have got a line each time (latest one a bit clearer but still very faint) or is it likely I get two evap lines in succession.

I have had a stomach upset (diarrhoea) for a week, I have been temping so know when I ovulated. I haven't got sore/tender boobs (well no more than usual AF ones) and I have had af mild twinges since yesterday (as I usually do). No nausea (although didn't get much of that with ds)

Felt like I'd been run over by a truck on Friday/Friday night and was v tired yesterday.

Oh, I know I know I should just test but would a FR at 25miu or stronger really tell me any more or should I just wait for AF??

Help ?!

Oh and hideous headaches last weekend....when I would have been 6/7 dpo....

What do the test instructions say?

It was always my understanding that if a line appears within 10 minutes this is not an evaporation line but is a positive.

I have not always had an evap line (and I have done lots of tests) but this may depend on the make.

Of course you should test again. I would not be surprised if FR comes up positive.

every time ive stared and stared at a test wondering if im imagining there is faint colour in the line i have gone on to get a clear + 1 or 2 days later.

i did a test a few months ago after a few hours and there was just the tiniest suggestion of a colourless line on it,nothing like the quick-to-appear faint positives ive had in the past.(af came the day after i tested,i wasnt ttc)

i meant i looked at the test again after a few hours.my brains gone.

Line should appear within 5 mins and to be honest I could see "something" there within the 5 mins but it wasn't instant. It got stronger (naturally?) as time went on but now it is dry it is definitely visible but not a strong line by any stretch.

I am now imagining alsorts of course....

Will prob wait (if I possibly can) until Wed to see what happens. AF would normally be there by then. Alternatively, I may of course cave in and buy a FR. I am also, of course, now imagining a metallic taste in my mouth and faint nausea....isnt' the mind a clever thing

Got another wide very pale pink line this morning - it's very very early but I woke and couldn't sleep so got up and did it again....may put myself out of my misery today.

herb - get a 1st response - they are clearer than ebay cheepies and most other tests....

I was really p*ssed off with the ebay cheepies when I got my BFP as had a similar issue. FR came up positive, ebay cheepie negative, next day ebay was v v faint (virtually non existant) and next day etc....

Thanks Fym. I'm so convinced I'm not but also don't want to find out that I'm not. I just posted on "our" thread on Sat night that my fourth ante-natal thread announced her pregnancy on Sat night and had one of those "moments" about it.....I will feel a bit of a fool if in fact I too was pregnant. I am also nervous (age related - I'm 38 so know how common miscarriages are at my age) about getting too excited until I get a good old BFP from a digi or otherwise and will not relax even then until I make it through the first 3 - 4 mnonths......I'll keep you posted.

Herb - don't stress too much (i know it's hard!!)

In the end I bit the bullet and bought the first response as had clear positive at 12 dpo with ds. when I tested at 13 dpo again clear positive with 1st response....and the ebay was negative!

ps the two 'definite' early signs I got were
a)very tired
b)hot flushes

Ooh I've got hot flushes today....I am soooo warm and clammy. And I felt like I'd been run over by a bus on Friday and fell asleep in front of the telly...............

I too tested yesterday with internet cheapies that are supposed to be sensetive to 10miu, I thought i got a negative but when i checked an hour later there was a very faint line, so a bit later i tested again, and after 5-7 mins got a very faint line again, could they both be evap lines or faint positives?? Help everyone, im driving myself crazy. Ps: am on cycle day 26 of a 30 day cycle.

have to say to you all I decided to pay the money and get the first response. My supposedly 10Miu cheap tests were not at all good.

I got clear positives with FR at 12 and 13 DPO respectively. Ebay - unclear +ve at 14DPO.

I got a CB digital and as you may have seen on the other thread I got a BFP....and am now going to nervously wait out the next couple of months (hopefully). It all seems too good to be true really so I am keeping my fingers crossed. I've already made my 8 week appointment with the midwife as appointments with her are like gold dust and figured that if it all goes wrong between now and then well, someone else can have the slot !!.....

Positive vibes needed eh ?!
