Inplantation bleeding or Start or Period

first month trying to actively conceive our second child, 4 years after DD who was a lovely surprise.i haven’t been on contraception for over a year.

As per OPK I should have ovulated 23rd August, and being 9dpo today, I took a test this morning but BFN. Then approx 2pm today, I wiped and it was brown discharge, but very light. This has been like this all afternoon now but just at 7pm it has turned like the attached pic. It seems too heavy and stringy to be implantation bleeding right? I didn’t have this with my first child.

my period isn’t due for 6 days so now I’m freaking out and feeling so negative, I can’t see a BFP coming my way this month

I know it’s difficult but don’t lose all hope! I had implantation bleeding from around 7/8dpo that looked exactly like this and lasted on and off around 4/5 days every time I wiped. I too also thought I was defo out that month but I got my BFP on 10/11dpo. It’s so tricky as it really could go either way. The TWW is so stressful!

The timing is right for implantation bleeding but that blood is brown, and therefore old blood, so less likely. Also doesn't scream period though so you're probably in that very annoying period of having to wait and see.

Thanks both - I’ve been googling all day and need to stop 🤣 just got to let nature do its course!! So frustrating - especially as it’s very early for me too start my period, but will just have the wait and see. Really appreciate you both commenting xxx

If you feel up to it please update when you know - I've got everything crossed for you! I've had my kids but become ridiculously invested in other people's pregnancy journeys, I remember it so well!

I will do! I didn’t realise how lucky I was to not have the TTC journey with the first child. I never realised how stressful it is…I’m praying it’s good news but will definitely update!!

I had that with my youngest. Exactly that for a day and thought I was out, even popped a tampon in. Then nothing. Tested when I was overdue and bingo!

Still only spotting and only noticable when I’m wiping. Is more watery today though, but still brown. Have had the heavy feeling before AF all day but nothing yet. Still keeping everything crossed but so hard to stay positive!!

Well I never!!! 11dpo, 2 days of spotting and not a single symptom other than period pains, I just got my BFP!!!!

Just incase anyone finds this thread in years to come!!

Congratulations!! I had some pink spotting 2 days ago but testing negative, periods not due till 7 days time. I hoping for the same outcome xx
