PCOS Conceiving

I'm 38, have PCOS and didn't have a regular period for about 15 years. I've lost almost 8 stone this year and since January I now have regular periods! I know it's still early days really and could take years, if it happens at all.

I was wondering what do you feel helped you to conceive?

I'm open to trying anything, so suggestions about food, best vitamins, mantras, meditation, herbal remedies - anything for me or hubby!

Thank you!

Hi @arcadykin

I was diagnosed with PCOS after having my first baby. I had put on a lot of weight and my periods stopped and I had around 5 month gaps and random spotting.

I am currently around 5 weeks pregnant with number 2 after also loosing a fair amount of weight.

I took inofolic alpha powder sachets by the fertility family. I was recommended this by my GP as it’s very good for egg quality and helping women ovulate who have PCOS.

I also took the “hormone balance” vitamins by My Vitamins. However, tbh I think just a folic acid and vitamin D tablet would also be just fine.

I took both of these from about 3 months prior to trying to conceive and luckily conceived then on the first cycle of trying. I was also tracking my ovulation with ovulation strips so knew when to DTD.

Of course I can’t be certain that this is what made pregnancy successful but I do believe it certainly helped, along with the weight loss. I have attached the links for the products down below. I hope this is helpful.

wishing you the best of luck!
