Hi everyone, setting up a new months thread for those of us who already know we’re out for August. I’m going on to cycle 3. Hope this can continue to be a place where we can chat and support one another.

Okay, I raided my cupboards for pregnancy tests and I found one but the control line is barely visible itself so I presume it’s out of date! Getting ready to go buy a fresh one because bleeding is still pretty much non existent anymore…

@LaurLou22 Ahh I’m sorry, that sounds really tough 😓 Are your periods normally quite regular? Maybe stepping away from the tests for a bit and waiting to see what happens might be a bit better mentally as difficult as it is x

@Marvelftw thank you, yeh usually quite regular and if not usually a couple of days early so it’s almost unheard of for me to be late. I ovulated hate this month though - about 5-6 days later then usual! So maybe that’s pushed everything back x

@LaurLou22 That would make sense! I ovulated later this month too so wonder if mine will also get pushed back slightly.

Am currently 3DPO and generally feeling ok. When I first came off the pill I used to get terrible cramping straight after ovulation which I hated because I felt that there was no way anything could successfully implant with that happening 😂 Hoping this gives me a good chance this month.

@Marvelftwhot all my fingers crossed for you!! I remember getting my periods back after my first baby and the ovulation pain and period pain the day before I started bleeding were immense! They’ve gotten better over the months though haha!

I took more tests (there is something wrong with me yes 🤣) and they all have lines on now and are getting darker I think. Trying not to get hopeful!

12 DPO over here and AF due tomorrow or Fri. My skins breaking out a little and do feel the usual PMS symptoms coming on but it’s so hard not to think ‘what if’ anyway! I actually tried to by a test today but can’t find a FRER in the shops anywhere! I’ve got brand loyalty since these are the tests I took the first time around and came up immediately with a stonking dark line.

Currently 8dpo, second cycle after chemical pregnancy last cycle. Have typical PMS symptoms, sore boobs, fatigue, even some nausea (but I think anxiety related)… trying not to read into it, as it’s normal for this stage of my cycle. Fighting the urge to test before expecting period as think it’d be better for my mental health not to keep testing in case it ends up another chemical pregnancy. This TWW has been killing me so far and can’t believe I’ve got over a week left before its test day 😫

@CityKityi’ve never used FRER! You can get them on Amazon I think? I don’t think I’ve ever seen them in the shops although I haven’t actively been looking for them haha.

this cycle I’ve now used wondfo, easy@hone, Premom, clearblue and boots 😅

@SleepySkyRat isn't the fact that early pregnancy symptoms and the start of AF symptoms are similar the worst? 😂 I really wish pregnancy symptoms could be significantly different so every month you’d get a clear sense of whether you were pregnant or not!

Also can’t but FRER anywhere other than Amazon!!

@LaurLou22honestly there is nothing wrong with you - it’s just when you feel so hopelessly out of control taking tests makes you feel a tiny bit in control, I was also obsessed with line progression. My dp didn’t get it at all but I just knew it was the only thing I could do to stay sane. I’ve got everything crossed for you x

@7nationbabythank you! Yes my DP just doesn’t understand and seems borderline disinterested which upsets me but he just says it’s because he doesn’t want to get hopeful because it’s not a ‘proper’ positive. I get it, but I also just wish there was someone who would share my obsession haha

@Marvelftw infuriating! I guess I’m hoping if the symptoms remain and amp up rather than disappear that’s a clue, but it’s totally guesswork at this stage. Hope your TWW flies by! This one has dragged so far but trying to keep myself busy to distract myself.

What is a FRER test please?

It’s just another brand of pregnancy test, but can detect up to 6 days prior to missed period (apparently). I think because they are fairly sensitive by the time you get to the time of expected period they’re fairly dark (at least in my case) so there was zero guess work required. It’s the only tests I’ve taken hence my underserved brand loyalty! I vividly remember buying a back from the boots near work 3ish years ago but haven’t seen them in any shops. I’m sure any other brand are exactly the same tbh!

Tbh I have a feeling as soon as I buy a pregnancy test AF will show up just to spite me. I’ll hold off for now.
Annoyingly as it’s first month TTC I started on pregnacare conception vitamins which I hear can delay AF which would really mess with my head this month!

Oooh. Thanks @CityKity I still have the second test from the 2 pack I bought when I tested positive with my son (obviously out of date now), so I’m probably in the market for some new ones!

I’m so confused I had a positive ovulation test this morning so did when my partner got home this evening, I took another test this evening which was now negative and my cervix felt low and tender, surely that’s abit quick isn’t it for my cervix to have dropped??

Very sadly, all my tests came back negative this morning :( so gutted. Now just waiting for AF and the next cycle x

@LaurLou22 Im so sorry the tests were negative this morning. Do you think it was a chemical or just wrong tests? I hope AF turns up soon so you can get some closure and try again.

CD26 today and really struggling to concentrate/distract myself. AF usually shows up CD26 evening or CD27 morning so not long to wait but I almost bought a test this morning and then chickened out again.

Hey ladies I was just wondering if anyone has anything they’ve tried that they think helped them conceive in the past?
So far i’ve tried
-Pre-conception vitamins

• loads of other vitamins over the past 2 years -Conception lube -Cough syrup

I don’t think i’m going to track ovulation again this cycle and instead just regularly bd as my cycles are too long and it always stresses me out! It’s annoying as i’m trying all of this stuff and I think we’re not conceiving because my partners low sperm count. He was given something from a dr to try increase it but they won’t test levels again yet so idk if it’s worked/working.
