Hi everyone, setting up a new months thread for those of us who already know weโ€™re out for August. Iโ€™m going on to cycle 3. Hope this can continue to be a place where we can chat and support one another.

@MyPeppyLimeBear@CDD1992๐Ÿ‘€ you ladies have some kind of bionic vision ๐Ÿคฃ. Tbh my period seems to be AWOL (I usually have very distinct symptoms the days before it starts and I havenโ€™t had them at all) so I will keep an eye on it. Might not test for a few days now though because Iโ€™m getting a bit stressed! I think Iโ€™ve resigned myself the the idea that it hasnโ€™t happened this month so donโ€™t have an overwhelming urge to test!

@Marvelftw Iโ€™m definitely guilty of overthinking symptoms! Today (10dpo) definitely feels like a classic pre-menstrual day. Bloating, gas, v mild cramps. Itโ€™s been useful to pay more attention to my body that usual, but I know from my first that I got zero symptoms, so have relaxed a bit and treated myself to wine in the bath tonight!

@overwork glad the weekend away was a good distraction! Work has been great and I havenโ€™t even thought about it until just now which is a nice change. Hopefully the rest of the week will fly by. I looked into natural cycles after one of your earlier posts, and love the published research from it - this figure in particular is so interesting to me:

Showing follicular length by age. They analysed over 600,000 cycles and have some really interesting insights. Mainly that on average the luteul phase sits around 12.5days and this remains consistent as we age whereas the follicular phase length decreases over time. Overall suggesting that ovulation is later that the average 14days weโ€™re told.

Sorry Iโ€™ve gone off on a tangent but as a 37yr old this data suggests on average a woman of my age is likely to ovulate day 15.5 of their cycle. Obviously I could just track to confirm but Iโ€™m finding reading about the data more fun ๐Ÿ˜‚

Sorry quick question, does anyone here take progesterone in whatever form to aid ovulation? I know someone mentioned it on here a few threads back

I was taking after ovulation for a few months as my progesterone was low but sadly no pregnancy still

Oh thatโ€™s interesting!!!

Iโ€™m 33 and usually ovulate day 14/15 but the last couple of months itโ€™s been earlier, day 12/13. Apparently shortening follicular phase can be linked to reducing ovarian reserve (which I guess makes sense with age) but hope thatโ€™s not thatโ€™s happening with me. I need to get my AMH tested again maybe - was surprised as fertility clinic didnโ€™t do a follicle count before prescribing letrozole

AMBM6040 · 16/09/2025 08:02

@Iris2024sorry to hear your going through that, hopefully it happens for you soon,

AMBM6040 · 16/09/2025 08:04

I have had a couple of days of clear ovulation dishcharge but my tests say no, im
on day 11 so Iโ€™m hoping itโ€™s soon. I have 2 cycles before our fertility appointment and really hoping I donโ€™t make it, the body is a complicated thing

GladDenimGoose · 16/09/2025 13:15

Please can I jump on this thread? It's our first month TTC our first baby and I'm on cd11. I'm trying to be relaxed (easier said than done) and not tracking ovulation - just DTD regularly. Im not naive to how long and difficult the journey can be but still feeling hopeful! Sending baby dust to everyone here

7nationbaby · 16/09/2025 15:52

Hello, Iโ€™m joining too - not had a chance to read through everything yet though. Iโ€™m cd ~13 but last cycle was a chemical/miscarriage

LaurLou22 · 16/09/2025 15:55

@7nationbaby so sorry to hear this, fairly sure Iโ€™m experiencing a chemical this month. Good luck to you! X

CityKity · 16/09/2025 19:53

@GladDenimGoose hello! Iโ€™m CD11 cycle 1 today too! Good luck ๐Ÿคž. Iโ€™m due AF in 3 days so letโ€™s see how it goes. Not optimistic this month as was sick over ovulation but you just donโ€™t know. My first pregnancy we DTD once and I still donโ€™t know when in my cycle that was. Definitely going into TTC2 a lot more informed!

I do feel very pre-menstrual today so definitely expecting AF to show up, Iโ€™ll just be annoyed if itโ€™s late because of being sick this cycle.

7nationbaby · 16/09/2025 20:51

@LaurLou22 Iโ€™m sorry, itโ€™s so shit and thereโ€™s really nothing that can be said or done. I told lots of people this time and it was good in some ways to have people understand why I was being so crabby, but some of the stuff people said really hurt - like oh at least you already have kids

LaurLou22 · 16/09/2025 20:54

@7nationbaby I honestly donโ€™t understand that sentiment. It doesnโ€™t matter if you have no children, or a whole brood, losing a pregnancy, or a potential pregnancy not coming to fruition is still devastating, especially if itโ€™s all you want to expand your family xx

LaurLou22 · 16/09/2025 21:51

So sorry girls, I think Iโ€™m spiralling ๐Ÿ˜ซ.
do these tests look like theyโ€™re getting darker? Iโ€™m still barely getting anything on the other strip tests but I realised these detect at 10 MIU and the others are 25.

Hello, Iโ€™m joining too - not had a chance to read through everything yet though. Iโ€™m cd ~13 but last cycle was a chemical/miscarriage

Welcome hun โค๏ธ I had a very easy miscarriage too last cycle. Had positive pregnancy test and digital and lost just over a week later. Itโ€™s shattered me but weโ€™re straight back trying again just like yourself. Sending baby dust and hope we get it again โœจ

StayingHopefulx · 17/09/2025 00:52

@Marvelftw to be fair we are only on cycle 2 so I know silly to be disheartened! My cycle is all over the place being honest! how about you?

my period has been seriously light this round, I usually have a really heavy day where I almost need postpartum pads, but havenโ€™t got that yet only one really large gush and spottingโ€ฆ could this still be implantation or is it going on too long I wonderโ€ฆ day 5 of very light pink spottingโ€ฆ never had it with my first pregnancy x

StayingHopefulx · 17/09/2025 00:56

Iโ€™m also spiralling now because when I got my (or what I thought was my period) I did a test and negative, so I started to enjoy the all inclusive holiday we were on, which I had been avoiding drinking for potential babaโ€ฆ now the guilt will eat me if it was implantationโ€ฆ

Marvelftw · 17/09/2025 05:51

@StayingHopefulx Oh itโ€™s still very early days, but I do know how it feels to get those noโ€™s after consecutive months. Iโ€™m currently in my 3rd cycle of trying again and it already feels like itโ€™s been ages! My cycle has always been very regular but I do have a slightly shorter luteal phase. Donโ€™t feel guilty if you find out you are pregnant and have been enjoying your hols. The baby will be way too tiny at this point to have been affected by anything.

@CityKity Youโ€™re not out until youโ€™re out! There was someone in last months thread who got pregnant even though they had been feeling unwell over their fertile week.

@7nationbaby Welcome, sorry to hear about your loss.

@GladDenimGoose Hey welcome to the thread and good luck on your journey.

@LaurLou22 How many DPO are you?

Sylviasocks · 17/09/2025 06:34

Hey! Hope you guys donโ€™t mind me joining. Iโ€™m on cycle 4, 3DPO. TTC #2.

Started on Conception Max tablets this month and feeling hopeful, LH peak has been more definite then the last 2 cycles I tracked and previously I have conceived both prior pregnancies (one loss) on cycle 4.

@StayingHopefulx maybe test again in a couple of days, I had some sort of bleed with my first and it wasnโ€™t evident until I found out I was 16w1 at the 12 week scan ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Good luck everyone! ๐Ÿ€

underthethree · 17/09/2025 06:58

Just checking in- ovulation in T minus 3 days ๐Ÿ˜‚ I have DH warned that he will be needed a lot over the next few days ๐Ÿ˜‚ best of luck to anyone else approaching OD soon!

Angelyoga · 17/09/2025 07:44

Hi all!
Thanks for sharing your stories with us!

I had another gyno appointment yesterday. The endometrium is less than 3mm, up .6 since last time. Still too thin, suggesting ovulation/implantation is unlikely occur.
Yes I know, ttc without a cycle is madness!

I'm afraid I will need to wean completely in order to be able to get pregnant (without taking hormones). So frustrating when I am not ready to stop bf.

AMBM6040 · 17/09/2025 08:07

@underthethree Iโ€™ve just got a positive on my ovulation stick so will be busy over the next couple of days ๐Ÿ˜Šgood luck to you, letโ€™s hope this is our month ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป

LaurLou22 · 17/09/2025 08:13

@Marvelftwiโ€™m 13DPO today and period was due yesterday but Iโ€™ve been getting these stupid lines for a couple of days now and I just donโ€™t know what to think. The other tests I do are either so faint you can barely see them at all, or there is nothing there, but these wondfo tests keep showing a line. It also seems that my lines are always darker in the evening and not the morning?

I know thereโ€™s very little hope now, I would have seen some sort of progression on other. Tests I think by now. But itโ€™d hard not to test โ€˜just to checkโ€™ ๐Ÿ˜ญ what I really need to do is lock the pregnancy tests away and wait for my period to start because Iโ€™m not doing myself any favours here..
