Hysteroscopic myomectomy af irregular help

Hiya - Have had a bit of a turbulent time fertility wise and hoping it’s okay to reach out to you guys. Background. I’m 39 have had two miscarriages in since March 2024 with my last this year March (the irony). I knew I had fibroids and they weren’t big but their placement I was advised would be good to get them removed. I took two pro strap injections this year April and May to shrink fibroids before the op, then had hysteropic (can never spell medical terms) myomectomy June 9th this year. July had what I think is a very light period or maybe a withdrawal bleed. Now in August have not had a period and now worried as to what’s going on. My body feels like af going to come on any minute now and has been like this since end of July, even thought I may be pregnant, took pregnancy tests which are showing a mix of positive and negative. Now going docs on Monday for bloods and scan at hospital same day to check and possibly rule out pregnancy. I guess for me I would like to know is it normal for af to be irregular like this and also if anyone has gone on to conceive and how long that took. Thankyou in advance xx

I had the same procedure as you OP, also aged 39, paid for privately as time was slipping away. I had to wait for a NHS dye test to check my fallopian tubes were clear/no longer blocked, as I'd had a fibroid over my right tube.
I was told that under no circumstances should I try to get pregnant for a few months. I didn't even ask why, that's how despondent I was.
Booked an appointment to schedule IVF. But after that, found out I was pregnant!
I had to have an elective CS due to surgery on the womb, could have ruptured during birth. Everything went exceedingly well I'm happy to report.

Oh that’s so lovely to hear! So glad all went well @TheSilentSister can I ask how long it took for your af to make a return and stabilise before you got your BFP? I’m really hoping things work out like how everything worked out with you x

After the op, we went on holiday and forgot about it all. My periods were very odd and I can't remember having any but as I was peri-menopausal, it's not unusual.

Oh wow - that’s great! Congratulations! Thankyou for sharing, makes me feel better about everything as this week I’ve just been super down about the whole thing.

I had mine shrunk before removal by hysteroscopy too. Nobody told me not to try get pregnant. I was 36, fell pregnant on very first attempt 4 weeks after the procedure 🤦🏽‍♀️ no idea if my periods would have been regular or not as fell pregnant so quickly! My wee lass is now 6.

Oh I love this for you @SeriouslyNot my consultant said to wait at least for one af. Would love it if I got pregnant now 🥰 or at the very least if af shows up that would be good too. Just want some normalcy x
