Can you see a line?

Eek I’m a couple of days late on my period and I’ve been having very mild cramping for a few days. I tested today with a cheap test, this is after 5 mins (recommended time). Can anyone else see a line?

Can you see a line?

I can but it’s patchy, and there is pink banding and dye bleed all the way from the control line to the left of the test window.
I think you should go and get a digital, but tentative congratulations.

Thank you @ShouldHaveCouldHaveWouldHaveDone not getting too excited - I’ll go out and buy a digital tomorrow!

I think that's positive!

It's a positive test but looks a bit too faint for 2 days late. Test again in a couple of days and hopefully it's darker.

Thanks all. I’ll definitely test again - don’t want to get my hopes up!! This was from this afternoon so I’ll test again in the morning using the second test of the same type I have, and also get a digital tomorrow.

I tested today with a digital and it came back pregnant 🎉

Congrats, but do a line test too. You really do need to see progression in the darkness of the line as it can indicate HCG levels not being as high as they should.

Everything I’ve read has suggested not too put too much on ‘line progression’ as it’s an unreliable way to test viability. It can vary due to hydration levels etc. I think it would just create anxiety for me to be testing and monitoring the line to be honest, and there’s not much I can do either way at this stage.

I agree with you.
You're pregnant!

Even if you test every day, it will not affect the outcome.

I wish you all the very best!

I agree with this too! Sometimes you ovulate late and are not that late as you think. It happened to me I thought I was a week late but lines were light I got a positive digitial and didn’t worry about the line progression at my 12 week scan I found out I was actually 1 week behind so the lines were literally 2-3 days before my periods were due lol.
