TWW post IUI/IVF

Wondered if anyone wanted to join me on my TWW. I had a trigger shot Tuesday 19th August and my IUI on the 20th August. Been told I shouldn’t test before the 10th September, my period is due next Thursday typically, or Wednesday if I ovulated on the 20th after my shot.
Had IUI due to being in a same sex relationship. No fertility problems and have had a baby naturally 5 years ago.
Follicle was 17mm on the Monday before my trigger shot, lining was 7.6mm.
sperm count was 18 million, so everything is looking good but the wait is agonising and I’m only 8dpo/7dpo minimum.

I was in your exact situation! It’s a rough wait! It sounds like this is your first round? What I will say is please don’t lose hope if it’s a no this time. Everything looked good for us the first time and sadly wasn’t to be, but the second time I got pregnant and now we have the BEST little girl. And I am honestly glad it happened this way because if we’d got pregnant that first time we wouldn’t have had her :)

@Alysskea can i ask if you had fertility problems or unexplained infertility? Or are you in a same sex relationship?

@Alex2022 hi Alex thanks for the message. I’m doing ok, got a positive pregnancy test this morning at 12days post IUI (13 days post trigger) and mild nausea has started and sore breasts. So all looking positive, not going to tell clinic until next week though with them saying not to test before 🤣🤦‍♀️

Ohh, that is super news. Are you in a clinic in UK? Did you change your diet, stop alcohol during the process? I’m feeling ok - I’m not nervous for the procedure but just the outcome I think. Was the procedure ok for you?

@Alex2022 yes I’m in the U.K. using Care. I can message you if you like?
I don’t drink alcohol anyway as I just don’t really enjoy it. I cut down caffeine to 200mg a day, drank lots of water and I have also been using this programme called Womb Healing which helped me with mindfulness. Some people don’t believe in it but I am quite into my crystals and stuff. I also took all my prenatal vitamins that I could.
the procedure was so quick, no pain and they even gave us a photo of the sperm going in!

I’m in UK too, going private in central London. Is the mindfulness an app? I could do with some help there as get very anxious and always awake thinking. Taking ashwaganda and also some prenatal bits, colic acid. How do the crystals work? I’m interested! Great they gave you a photo of insemination also, wonder if I’ll get that

I did that wait 6 times! It’s worse than the IVF in my opinion! I wish the absolute best luck in the world!

did you have any side affects from the Letrozole?

I did! My last cycle gave us a little boy! He’s 14 next month! Some of my cycles worked, I just lost those babies, I actually lost my sons twin but I had immune issues and after some tweaking of drugs and whatnot we got our happily ever after and it was allll worth it as soon as I laid eyes on him - this kid is made for me! Quite literally! Cost us a fortune before he was even conceived and continues to cost us a fortune!! 🤣

@Alex2022 I was only put on Zivafert 5000iu the day before, no side effects or anything like that. It just hurt a bit in my leg!
Fertility crystals work by aligning and balancing your body's energy (chakras), which is believed to promote healing, remove energetic blockages, and create a positive environment for conception and pregnancy. But, there is no scientific evidence or reliable research to support the claims that crystals can directly influence fertility as it stems from alternative therapies and holistic approaches to health. I work in healthcare so very much understand science but still absolutely love the holistic approach etc. The womb healing lady is on YouTube, search up Womb Healing and she’s on there, she does meditation and stuff! So nice x

@PumpkinSpicedLattenot sure what zivafert is, I’ll have a look, as I say, I’m starting Letrozole tomorrow likely similar. Wonder why the pain in leg. I get that sometimes around ovulation already 🤨 so intrigued by the crystals and holistic approach. I have a close friend who does holistic healing and has had incredible results for people who never thought they could get pregnant & one client who at 40+ had twins, would love to try it but hopeful I won’t have to. Thanks for the YT recommendation, I’ll give it a try. My September reset officially starts tomorrow with the start of something new and this new cycle. Hope this is the month for us! X
