am i pregnant?

hello, i'm 8 days late on my period, last friday, saturday and monday i had pregnancy tests and they all resulted negative, my doctor advised me to wait a week and try again... has this ever happened to anyone?
i'm on clomid, so i'm a bit confused... is this pill or am i pregnant?

Don't know anything about Clomid but just wanted to bump for you by saying that I didn't test positive with my DD1 until I was 23 weeks!!!

With DD2 I was 17 weeks and DS1 I never had a positive result at all.

Each time I thought I was pregnant midwife had to do blood test to confirm

Midwives didn't seem concerned or surprised even though I'm the only person I know this has happened to.

There are several reasons why you could have missed a period, not just pregnancy. Clomid can screw with your cycle. Is it the first month you have taken it?

Alternatively it can be caused by either a pregnancy or a failed implantation (in which case your period will be delayed but will arrive shortly).

Another, more serious alternative is that ectopic pregnancies sometimes give out less HCG which mean you test positive later. Also as MindingMum points out, some people for some reason never get particularly high HCG levels.

Or stress, illness, weight loss or gain. Pretty much anything can play buggery with your cycle.

Apart from the possibility of an ectopic pregnancy, there is no harm in waiting another week to find out. (Except it'll drive you barmy ).

May I suggest you leave it three more days and try again with an early pregnancy test (which tests a lower level of hormones)?

sorry i haven't been around, but i've kept myself busy, trying not to think about it...
well i had another pregnancy test yesterday morning.. still negative, so i suppose i'm not pregnant. i rang the doctor and he said to repeat it again in a couple of days, but that means i'll be 2 weeks late on my period.... sounds impossible to me, but who knows???
i've been on clomid for two months, this was my third.
i'll have a blood test this week and see what comes out of that!!!
has anyone been on clomid and had the same problem. if someone did...what happened after???
i'm so worried!!!

i don't think i'm pregnant, i'm now waiting for my next period, hoping things will go back to normal.
