I’m 15dpo today. I tested on 11dpo and it was bfn. I’ve been away for the weekend and have had what I thought was the start of my period along with cramps. However the bleeding has never really got started, it’s like a light flow day every day when normally I have heavy periods. Anyway today I took a test at 15dpo and got a very light positive, then a CB digital which says pregnant. Is there any hope a line this light at 15dpo plus bleeding equals a viable pregnancy? I’d really appreciate some advice, thank you.

It's stressful isn't it! This sounds like my chemical - I tested positive then lightly bled for about four days then one heavier day then it was done. Tested positive from the day before I bled to about five days after I finished bleeding and then back to negative. X

It’s impossible to say unfortunately, the not knowing for sure is a killer. You might test positive for a little while even if it is a chemical.

Thanks guys, guess it’s a waiting game x

Sounds like my chemical too. I started bleeding very lightly, took a couple of tests the same time which said positive. My periods usually start off heavy so the bleeding was different. Sadly it carried on and got heavier and after a few days I then tested negative. Hoping it’s more positive news for you though. The waiting is indeed awful.

Updating this thread for people in a similar situation in the future. I’m now 16dpo and still bleeding. The test is maybe a smidge darker than yesterday but I don’t feel hopeful of a successful pregnancy because it’s still so light for 16dpo. Will update again tomorrow.

I might be in a similar boat to you. Tested yesterday at 14dpo which was day of expected period, and very faint line. Got very excited but then some spotting. This spotting has continued, lighter than a typical period but enough to want a liner, and my test today was no darker compared to yesterday. I’m really nervous it’s a chemical pregnancy or that the tests I’ve done were false positives/evap lines (even though I checked at the right timeframe and I’ve never had this issue before).

Sending you all the baby dust, hopefully it’s just weird implantation bleeding?? That’s what I’m hoping for anyway!

17dpo update. This mornings test is at the bottom. I am so confused. Still bleeding. Tests not getting darker or lighter. Being in limbo is agony.

@SleepySkyRat im so sorry you’re going through similar. The not knowing is horrid isn’t it. I can deal with whatever the outcome is going to be, but not know what that is is killing me. Please keep me posted and know I’m thinking of you!

@User05138494 sadly the only thing you can do is keep testing to find out one way or the other…
I tested again this morning and before I’d even tested I knew as my spotting had become more like period blood. The test line was lighter for sure, barely visible, and now I’m cramping like AF. So pretty sure this is a chemical pregnancy/early miscarriage. I was hoping that I was just off with the timings of ovulation but now it makes sense that it was so faint because it had stopped developing.

it honestly sucks, I literally had 3 hours of excitement before the spotting and uncertainty started, and now it feels like back to square one. But trying to take it as a positive that I got the timing right, that I can get pregnant, and it just wasn’t meant to be. I think at this early stage it’s just the development of that embryo was never going to work and my body is doing the right thing by letting it go, but it’s still hard.

I truly hope it’s a different outcome for you, but please keep me updated, I’ll be here!
