Did I ovulate?

The app was predicting I would ovulate around CD 17 so I planned baby dancing around that date. Once baby date passed the app changed my ovulation date to CD12. We did it once that day but not before.

For the last couple of months I haven’t been able to pick up ovulation on digital OPK. From my temps does it look like I ovulated?!

The temps would suggest you have ovulated, and I would probably agree with NC's assessment of CD12... when do you normally do your OPKs? Could you be testing too late each cycle? I learned quite late in to all of this that the LH peak can be vanishingly quick. I missed the peak altogether in June's cycle even though I tested each morning. Temps confirm I did ovulate, so I've now started testing morning and evening.

How long is your average cycle?

Ok that’s interesting to know. I use the digital tests but will use LH strips next month. Usually 28 day cycle

I use cheapie OPK strips because I'm now using so many more of them - Wondfo or easy@home are good brands, both available on Amazon.

Your temps are looking good I'd say. The dip on CD19 can be because of an oestrogen surge, it's common on lots of charts. If you did ovulate on CD12 you could well test today, or tomorrow more reliably - good luck!

Nosejug · 21/08/2025 10:46

Agree with pps, my surge is rather short, and not until taking multiple tests did I start to locate it. Sometimes it happens in the night! I use easy @ home strips and they work well, are cheap and you can pinpoint. Personally, I find the temping thing unreliable as the minuscule increments need accurate measuring, and my easy @ home thermometer (and another one I tried) are very inconsistent.

my method is test once daily from around cd 8, Watch for any increase then test additionally in the afternoon, if its increased again then I keep testing every few hours. My surge (using the app’s numbers) usually goes from below 0.1 one morning, to a slight but noticeable increase a following morning, then within that day a sharp rise up to .9 or whatever.

Plug these temps data into Fertility Friend as the graphs on that are MUCH easier to read. I honestly can’t tell if there’s a defined, sustained temp shift on that Natural Cycles graph. Good luck!

I’ve inputted into that app. What do you think

It still looks ovulatory to me. You have 10 temperatures above the cover line with a single dip in the luteal phase, which is common and normal.

Have you taken a pregnancy test OP?

No not yet. I’m going to do a FRER when I get home from work. Or maybe tomorrow morning

Fertility Friend reckons you ovulated on Day 11. Do you agree it looks much clearer there? I’ve used FF for about 13 years (😱) and no other app I’ve seen compares in terms of clarity and responsiveness to data…I can’t understand why the other ones are so popular!

Yes much clearer. Natural cycles moved my ovulation to CD18 so I was aiming around those days to have sex. Then once those days passed it jumped back to CD12 so pretty sure I kissed my fertile window. Has a bit of brown spotting today so I think it’s my period 😒

I came on my period this morning so definitely missed the fertile window 😢
