If I was only able to do the deed one day (long story) which day would you go for out of interest?… assuming this ovulation calendar etc is accurate?

O-1. In theory, it’s best to ensure the sperm is there, waiting for the egg. But it’s not an exact science and even with tracking you can never be certain precisely when you’ve ovulated (hence the recommendation for O-1 rather than O, and I think the SMEP say to also go for the day after - presumably in case it’s slightly later than predicted!). This time round I DTD O-3, O-2, O and O+1 and one of those occasions obviously worked! Are you using OPKs and BBT to confirm ovulation?

Westcoaster85 · 17/08/2025 20:41

So 0-1 you mean tomo (18th?) or the next day cos peak day (19th) means ovulation in about 24hrs after that…

I use ovulation sticks and clear blue

Peak day, so 19th.

Isn’t 19th ovulation day rather than peak day? Sorry, I don’t know this app (I use Fertility Friend). But yes, I agree if it’s just one time, the day you get the peak OPK is the one to go for!

Westcoaster85 · 18/08/2025 12:38

Yes this is what confuses me… Is peak day the same as ovulation day??

No, ovulation is usually 24-48 hours after you get a positive reading on an OPK. Fertility Friend assumes it’s the following day from a peak OPK…

This makes sense. Thank you x
