Feeling glum that we've not been able to have sex CD 14 (negative OPKs up to then) 17 as I've been away.

We have dtd CD11 & 13 and my cycles are between 26 and 28 days.

Is there any hope??

Sperm are supposed to live for up to 7 days inside your body, but 3 is a better guess and studies have shown that 12 hours is the average for most of the sperm. However, it takes only one sperm sticking around that long, so yes, of course there’s hope for you!

The only times I have ever gotten pregnant over a period of 8 years (1 daughter, 1 chemical, 1 mc) were when I wasn’t tracking or trying. All the time I tracked and obsessed it never happened. Lots of people will tell you this. The best thing you can do is take the pressure off sex and try to do it every 2-3 days. You’ll get there!

Sperm actually only live for 5 days but can start dying off before this time. You would have to ovulate cd 18 at the latest. The chances are slim but not 0.

Thanks both. Today is cd17, I'm back from my trip and just got a positive opk, so turns out I ovulate later than I thought. So hopefully all is not lost.
