AM I TESTING TOO EARLY?

I did a sainsburys test today first wee but got a neg result. My cycle is 30-35 days, but the test says you can do it 4 days before period due. Would you take it as im likely not to be pg. I have 2 clearblue digital in the cupboard , and they also say you can do them early. I do keep on having heartburn which has gone on for the last few days and still got tender boobs at the sides, but now i just keep thinking am i imagining it as surely if i have got symptoms then there must be enough hormone to detect pregnancy IYSWIM. Advice please.

Might be helpful if you said which day you were on!!

I wouldn't do it before day 33 at the absolute earliest, and pref not before day 35.

When did you ovulate?

im on cd29, but only did it as the test says you can do it 4 days early, dont mant tests show up early or before periods due? Its just that as i have some pg type symptoms, i would have thought it would show up early,if i am pg then surely there must be enough hormone there as i wouldnt have any symptoms

No they don't show up early very often. It's a lie.

Wait until cd36, then you're a day later than you possibly normally would be, then test.

You could well be pg but it won't show up yet.

When did you ovulate?

Did you have any clues that ovulation was around that time? ewcm, +ve opk, SHOW cervical position etc?

sex around cd 16, with say ovualtion on cd18 for example would make you 11 dpo today so still a bit early.

Maybe wait until the weekend if no period.

how long can sperm live?

In good quality ewcm for up to 5 days if the sperm quality is also excellent.

Usually 2-3 days, but the cm & sperm would still need to be good quality.

ok, i will try and hold out till sunday, i will be cd32 then so maybe it will show then
