Hello, I’m from Slovakia and I would like to access a fertility clinic through the NHS. I would like to try Clomid or another ovulation-inducing medication. I have PCOS and I do not ovulate. Seven years ago, I was in Halifax where I managed to get pregnant while taking Clomid, but unfortunately, at 7 weeks of pregnancy I lost the baby. At that time, I didn’t know that I needed medication to maintain the pregnancy. Later, I underwent hematology testing, which clearly showed that I need blood-thinning injections and at least progesterone, because I have genetic mutations that cause increased blood clotting, which makes it difficult for an embryo to implant without assistance.
I had the hematology testing done years ago in Slovakia. I know genetic mutations don’t change over a lifetime, but I’m wondering if this would be accepted in the UK, and if alongside Clomid treatment they would be willing to prescribe progesterone and Fraxiparine (blood thinner). I’ve searched online and only found information saying that these medications are prescribed only during IVF.
I was also wondering if anyone from the Bradford area could recommend a good fertility clinic where I will be taken seriously and they will be willing to help me, either privately or through the NHS.
Thank you in advance for any answers.
