Thanks so much girls ! How are all of your journeys going ?? I called CRP clinic and spoke to Dr Silva and found some comfort in that! Xxx

Jecca88 · 29/08/2025 09:48

@Meg310532 Glad Dr Silva gave some comfort. I am so sorry you had to go through all that trauma and near death for yourself, so unbelievably scary and all you're trying to do is have a baby. I have been thinking of you since i read your message and have been so upset for you my love. I just cannot believe the universe would throw this at you. I have read that Plancental abruption is quite rare. Have you had a hoppital debrief? Are you at home recovering? I can't quite believe i have to ask but have you had the funeral? :(

Meg310532 · 29/08/2025 10:27

@Jecca88 yes hun I’m home now recovering. It’s so mental as I was in the hospital the day before as I had swelling of hands and feet and they checked her heart beat and my blood pressure etc and sent me home. Then 4am I woke up thinking I was going into early labour as I had such cramps and I went to hospital and knew straight away she had no heart beat I could tell from their faces. Then only when they took my blood they realised how much I was bleeding internally it went into panic stations and I was rushed for surgery. I think the hosptial said the funeral will be about 20th sep! Ish ! I am really starting to feel like this isn’t going to happen for me now. Three miscarriages and a stillborn surely I can’t go through anymore !!!! X

Jecca88 · 29/08/2025 10:50

OH my love @Meg310532 this is absolutley heartbreaking, i bet you are going through all the scenarios in your head about what could have been done differently. It just will never make sense. Did they just assume the swelling was normal pregnancy symptoms? Did you have to have a C-section? So much trauma I can't even comprehend. I have no words of comfort, just know she was perfect and you created her and you did EVERYTHING you could possibly do to keep her alive. I said to my husband last night if this happened to us - which is so hard to even imagine your pain, i am not sure if i could try and carry again - and surrogacy would be my only option. I know you just need to focus on your recovery and grieving process. I will light a candle tonight for Hallie :(

Hopeandfaith1990 · 29/08/2025 11:33

@Meg310532 echoing what @Jecca88 , you did absolutely everything you could to keep Hallie safe. I'm glad talking to Dr Edge helped, they must have been absolutely devastated for you and your family too. I'm thinking of you and will also light a candle tonight for Hallie. xx

@Meg310532 I am so, so sad for you. Cannot begin to imagine the depth of loss you and your husband must be feeling. You and Hallie have been in my thoughts... Relieved to hear that Dr Edge was there for you in such a tragic and difficult time. I would really recommend bereavement counselling from Sands or similar, if you feel up to it, of course. I have seen a counsellor too, for six early miscarriages, and she has been a real help. Sending my warmest thoughts to you.

Gizmo1983 · 29/08/2025 13:40

Hey @Meg310532 life is just not bloody fair is it? Please don’t think I’m comparing as our loss was much earlier but we did have to have a funeral. At first I was dreading it but in hindsight I think it gave me closure rather than bottling it up like I think I would have done. If you have any questions please just ask xxx

Meg310532 · 30/08/2025 12:15

They said the swelling was normal pregnancy related stuff because my blood pressure etc was all okay. I’m not sure if they had done my blood tests at that point that they would have been able to see any slight bleeding inside me or not…. It’s always the what ifs isn’t it. I’m struggling to look at my body in the mirror and see anything other than Hallies home. They made me have emergency c section if I didn’t I would have died. Now I’m left with pain/scars bruising and a broken heart. Love all you girls ! X

Newbeginnings22023 · 30/08/2025 12:40

Oh @Meg310532 I am so very sorry for your loss. There are no words. I hope you are looking after yourself and have support from those around you. We are also here for you ❤️ life is so unfair xxxx

Deerdancer34 · 30/08/2025 15:29

@Meg310532 You are Hallie's home and she is forever in your hearts. It will be a journey to recover physically and emotionally but you will get there I promise. I'm just so sorry you have to go through all the hurt first. Its really crap and bloody unfair. I had a fantastic counselling charity geared specifically to pregnancy loss if ever you felt you needed that- it helped unleash so much and to manage my head. Please don't torment yourself with the what ifs. You are Hallie's beautiful mother, just remember that💗

Deerdancer34 · 30/08/2025 15:31

@Meg310532 Also in time to talk to the hospital and CRP if you feel you need answers. Sending you lots of love 💖

CarpeDiem75 · 30/08/2025 17:56

@Meg310532i am really really sorry for your loss, i hope you have family and friends who can give you comfort. We are all here for you. Sending you big virtual hugs !

Deerdancer34 · 01/09/2025 09:37

@Hopeandfaith1990 Hope you are feeling ok 💕

Jecca88 · 01/09/2025 11:22

ahhh been thinking of you lots @Meg310532 have you got a good support system round you?

@Hopeandfaith1990 how are you doing my love? what are next steps? I started my withdrawal bleed on saturday - wow it was heavy but i relieved it is here, i was still so hormonal after EC. Scared for PGTA results. Need to book in with CRP now :)

Hopeandfaith1990 · 01/09/2025 12:07

Hi girls @Deerdancer34 @Jecca88 thanks for checking in 🩷

I’m okay thanks, CD3 and wow a painful period for me too. To be expected with all the drugs to thicken the lining etc I guess.

I’m talking to my clinic now about the next transfer. I’ve decided to do a natural modified one which means I won’t do the oestrogen pills or down regulating to suppress ovulation. I’ll track ovulation with LH sticks and scans and then as soon as I get the LH surge I’ll take progesterone (injections and pessaries) and a HCG trigger shot then go in for transfer 5 days (ish) after that. So it’ll be slightly less medicated than my previous one. I’m trying to do it this cycle (asap) but I’m getting a bit of resistance from the clinic, they won’t give me a consultation appt until next week… but I’m going to try and push for transfer to be within this cycle as much as I can.

if not, I think we’ll try naturally this cycle (not sure if that’s a bad decision lol) and then transfer would be in October. But as always I just want to take action asap lol.

how are you both? @Jecca88the PGT results wait is so hard but you got such good numbers at collection I am so optimistic for you 🩷🩷🩷

Hey @Hopeandfaith1990 and @Jecca88 those bleeds after ivf procedures are really hard going it used to affect me emotionally pretty badly as well.
@Hopeandfaith1990 i hope they let you do it this cycle i totally know that feeling of wanting to get going again I had retained products for 5 months so couldn’t do anything and it half killed me.
@jecca got everything crossed for good results you got amazing numbers so it’s all in your favour xxx

TW: possible pregnancy

Well I’m 10DPO, and have just done a test to see if I need to carry on the medication. I think it’s a faint positive. Honestly, feeling no excitement, just dread and haven’t even told my partner who left for work at 6. I hate that we have to test so early for this, previously I’ve always had blazing positives when my period was late. Will continue meds and test again tomorrow, it could well be a false alarm. If any of you have any positive vibes going spare, I’ll take them please. Xx

All the good vibes coming your way lovely. Which test did you use? Hoping it’s not a false alarm and this is your time. I know what you mean re testing early. Just gives us more time to live with the anxiety of a positive. I so wish it was different for all of us. X sending love

@Hopeandfaith1990 oh thank you! It’s a CB ultra early, apparently not the most reliable but last month’s was stark white so there’s a clear difference. Trying to be ‘que sera sera’, but it’s so difficult. Hope the pain is easing up for you now xx

Objectiontime · 02/09/2025 09:09

Firstly, a huge apology from me, I have been rather lax in my communication of late! So, in jo particular order...

@Hopeandfaith1990 am so hopeful for you ongoing. I know it is a huge stress waiting to get going with the next chance, I was in and off pred for 7 months before this positive but got there eventually.

@Jecca88 Everything crossed for you. Your results are excellent so there is a lot of hope there,

@Deerdancer34 and @TammyinCork Are you are both doing okay?

@Meg310532 Still reeling from your news hun! and still lost for words at your loss. I would ask if you are okay but that would be a bloody stupid question!! Sending you so much love and hugs though

@Gizmo1983 Hope all is well for you. Thinking you are about 20 weeks now? Hope your head is not still giving you issues.

@Fletchasketch Oh Looking good, good luck for the next test. Very exciting !

For me, I am pretty large for 17 weeks! and completely exhausted. Still on 5 mg pred and have a scan next week. If they can check blood flow to placenta and it looks okay I can come off, if not I will have to stay on it. I really want to get a flu jab so I want to get off if I can asap as I think it takes a month to get out of the system.

Love to you all, including those I havent mentioned specifically.

Ps. I have a liw anterior placenta, which is annoying as movement is likely to be masked, which will add to the worry.

Deerdancer34 · 02/09/2025 15:42

@Jecca88 Keeping everything crossed for you with those great numbers! When will you know more?

@Hopeandfaith1990 I realllly hope the clinic let you do it this month. Its horrible waiting or missing opportunities isn't it. When will they let you know?

@Gizmo1983 How are you feeling!?

@Fletchasketch Eep sending you over alll the positive vibes! Come on 💪 Will you wait until tomorrow to test again?

@Objectiontime I'm just so excited for you, its really lovely and I hope you are doing OK. I had an anterior placenta too, I think I started thinking 'is that baby' from about 20 weeks and could certainly feel hiccups later on in the pregnancy, so don't worry you will definitely feel as baby gets bigger I would imagine!

My news, I'm waiting for my period to start to start the letrozole but I am slightly freaking out about having more losses or an ectopic again, I really really don't want another ectopic...I am wondering whether to just do the medications and not Superovulation but then I know with PCOS, Superovulation boosts my chances. I wish my husband could do all the meds for me 😅

Sending everyone lots of love 💗

Great to hear things are going well, and really hope you can wean off that last dose of pred! I keep hearing that pred masks symptoms, and that when you come off, they return with a vengeance. Hope you are regularly monitored throughout, as I can only imagine what the anxiety must be like.

I am good: have been taking the levothyroxine for nearly a week, and both myself and my husband have been taking the vitamins that Dr Shehata recommended (but I have reduced Co-Enzyme Q10 to 400mg a day and the DHEA to 25mg a day, as the higher doses were giving me skin problems, I'm sure).

Fletchasketch · 02/09/2025 17:34

@Deerdancer34 Thank you! I'll just test again in the morning to know whether to stay on the meds or not. I hadn't really considered testing more than once per day. Are there more reliable tests than the CB? I can't get first response round here, so CB were the next best thing.

Hope all goes well with your next cycle and the letrozole. It's such a minefield of knowing what to do for the best and worrying about what could go wrong isn't it? Sending some good vibes back at you. x

Gizmo1983 · 02/09/2025 21:36

@Objectiontime hey sweet so glad you’re doing well totally get you on being exhausted.

@Deerdancer34 Thank you, I still fear for things going awry but that's just pregnancy for everybody I think.
I completely understand your fears but we have to go through the pain to get the gain, painful as it is. You will come through and hopefully we can all win this fight xx
