Those results are great @TammyinCork ! To have 9 collected in the first place, and your attrition is good, you haven’t lost many at all. I was on Pergoveris as well, it’s supposed to be good for quality for women our age. I’m 41 and the most I’ve had is 8 eggs collected. Best of luck with your blasts and PGTA results, have you joined many fb groups? There are a few for PGTA, I joined because I had a curve ball mosaic embryo and wanted to learn more about it. I was expecting only euploid or aneuploid, Hope the soreness passes soon and you get more good news in the coming days xxx

@SWMum9: Many congratulations... Such lovely news for you and your OH before Christmas!

@pagey23 A very useful affirmation - thank you for sharing! Wishing you all the best for the superovulation.

@Hopeandfaith1990: Tommy's were always against NK cells treatment, from what I remember - they don't believe it's a thing. It's the reason their clinics rarely prescribe steroids, unless a lone doctor goes against the "script" / turns a blind eye. Sorry the call with the EPAU was so draining... They don't seem to realise that asking for people's histories over and over again is so exhausting for them!

@Jecca88: Congratulations on reaching 16 weeks - an incredible milestone :-D

@Objectiontime: Great news that you have reached 33 weeks! Hope all is going well with you.

@LoudAquaMoose: That's amazing re: the ovarian PRP and good to know that CRP offer this!

Sending good wishes to everyone, and hoping 2026 is good to us!

In terms of my updates, I was able to go ahead with our first cycle of IVF in Alicante. I was on Pergoveris and had my egg collection on Christmas Eve (ouch - I was sore for several days afterwards and am still not 100%). 9 eggs collected, 8 mature, 7 fertilised. Now waiting to see how many make it to blast in two days' time... We will then have PGTA testing.

Are these OK results for 42 years old (husband is 40). We had ICSI and the Spanish equivalent of Zymot, called SpermSlow.

@TammyinCork I am very well, thank you. Hope everything goes well for you. Everything crossed for you xx

TammyinCork · 30/12/2025 09:31

Thank you all for your support... Unfortunately, we got bad news this morning: only one of the 7 fertilised eggs made it to blastocyst, and it has now been sent off for PGT-A testing. Beyond disappointed, especially as the initial results seemed so promising. Apparently, most of them fragmented by Day 3.

Gems2811 · 30/12/2025 09:52

I'm sorry to hear that @TammyinCork , the days following collection are just excruiating, do you have much of a wait for the PGTA results? I've got everything crossed for you. If you get a segmental, a chaotic or a mosaic rather than a full euploid they still have a chance. Do you know if your clinic offer genetic counselling to tell you more about your results when they come through?

pagey23 · 30/12/2025 10:47

Thinking of you @TammyinCork❤️❤️

Hopeandfaith1990 · 30/12/2025 12:05

Oh @TammyinCork that is so frustrating I’m so sorry :( praying and crossing everything for a positive PGTA result for your embryo. What have your clinic suggested as next steps? X

OP posts:
TammyinCork · 30/12/2025 16:30

Much appreciated, Gems, Pagey and Hope and Faith. They will get back to me in 2 weeks with PGTA result. If normal or a high-level mosaic, they will transfer, but anything less than that and I'm back to the drawing board, and can either do another cycle or stop with them. I've organised a phone call with ARGC London to see what they offer... While the Spanish clinic have been very good, I think I need a more tailored approach / daily monitoring, and maybe even human growth hormone (which is not offered in Spain). I have heard it helps with blastocyst and euploid rates, and might make sense for me, given that in my six naturally conceived miscarriages, they were always measuring behind.

Happy New year ladies, hope everyone is looking forward to this new year and what it holds for us all. I am glad to see the back of 2025, which may have been my hardest year yet. Ended up having a huge row with my sister on NYE - never have a felt pregnancy rage like it. I can;t even blame it on the steroids nows.

@TammyinCork my love i am so sorry to hear about the drop off, how incredibly hard when you responded so well and had such good result from EC. I am holding out hope for this 1 embryo. It only takes one they say. Did you do Icsi?

@Hopeandfaith1990 how are you getting on? Have you got anymore scans booked in?

Just a update on me, just had my intralipids, had a scan on monday, and now 17 1/2 weeks. All looking good, still cannot believe it. Told a few people - friends and family - which has been hard really - managing everyones responses and their excitment when really I am still so tentative. Wish i could have kept it a secret really.

Hopeandfaith1990 · 02/01/2026 17:30

Happy new year @Jecca88 my dear! Sorry you had a tough time with your sister, I had to give myself a few timeouts over the festive period, it just feels like there's no escape sometimes!

Have you weaned off the steroids now then? What are you still taking?

I've actually had two scans since last posting -- I had some (very scary) red spotting on Christmas day so got a private scan on the day after boxing day, was so scared it had all ended. Baby was still there with a strong heartbeat and we got an amazing video of them wiggling around, I've never experienced it before so was really special. Then this week at 10w1d we had an NHS recurrent miscarriage scan which was also all fine, it was the same sonographer who'd diagnosed my last MMC but I don't think she remembered me. NHS say baby is measuring ahead by 2 days but that that's common for IVF pregnancies. I'm now 10+4 and going in for the 'booking in' appt next Tuesday and the 12 week scan the following Monday. Can't quite believe and although I am definitely more hopeful that I was after having 4 positive scans I still feel a bit like I'm waiting for the rug to be swept out from under me... I wonder if that will ever change. My spotting/discharge has finally stopped so that's nice.

Can't believe you're 17.5 weeks, that is so amazing. I also struggle with telling people and almost shh'd my work friend when she congratulated me haha. Are you showing at all yet?

love to all xx

Glad all is looking well so far! Yes, we did do ICSI and SpermSlow but the doctor was hinting that we might not even have needed it... It seems to be more my egg quality that is the problem sigh All these years of healthy living and they haven't translated into blastocyst formation...

Hey gals - hope the first day back at work isn’t too awful for those of you who are back.

I have my first scan tomorrow at CRP. Will be 6 weeks 6 days and I just don’t feel positive at all. I have essentially zero symptoms despite having a few last week and some crampy left sided pain has completely gone. I am on a load of medication (prednisolone, progesterone amongst others) and know they can mask so I hope it’s that.

Anyway, I’ll let you know how it goes. Just telling myself whatever happens we’ll get through it because we have to. @SWMum9 good luck with your scan too.

@TammyinCork im sorry for the disappointment in your results. It’s all so f*cking bollocks

Congratulations! I have my scan tomorrow at 7 weeks 5 days. Symptoms have been on and off but really only started up this week. Feel quite queasy if I'm hungry at all so have been eating a constant stream of toast! feel a bit emotional and anxious too. I have had a couple of dreams that there is no heartbeat at the scan :(

@Hopeandfaith1990 sorry to hear about the bleeding, that must have been really hard - especially at christmas. I am still looking for blood each time I wipe

Hopeandfaith1990 · 05/01/2026 13:40

@LoudAquaMoose and @SWMum9 I am sending you both so much love and luck for your scans tomorrow !💘

The pred 100% masks symptoms, I am at the point now where late evening / early morning before I've taken the Pred I feel nauseous and then I take the Pred and its better ... So I think its happening because the Pred is wearing off from the following day. 90% of my friends have also had symptomless successful pregnancies without even being on anything! I think sometimes you just expect such huge symptoms and it isn't always the case. The only thing I've had is moderately sore boobs, and I think I make that worse by squeezing them 100 times a day to make sure they're still sore 😅 and all that could be the progesterone and not even real symptoms haha. n

@SWMum9 I've had those dreams/intrusive thoughts too. Its so hard. Just know that your past doesn't define your future - that's what I keep telling myself daily. This is a new and different pregnancy and has every chance of being successful xxx Its just our brains trying to protect ourselves from the worst xxx

That’s interesting about the pred… I do feel worse in the evenings and my boobs are like rocks! I have had back cramps a lot which I had early on with my son so just trying to tell myself it’s a good thing

Any tips for first scan nerves? The last time I was at EPAU was for my first loss. I’ve had 3 more since but never made it to a scan.

Tell the midwife / sonographer your history and that you’re anxious. Deep breaths and remember that they usually go quiet right at the beginning regardless of outcome because they’re just trying to get a good look to confirm whatever they see, it doesn’t mean it’s bad. Sending you all the luck today xxx

Thank you 😊

Tears today before and during but good news 🥹 measuring right on track and heartbeat seen. I feel so relieved. It’s felt like such a long journey of heartache. There was a small subchromic haematoma but they didn’t seem too concerned. Just said there could be spotting.

LoudAquaMoose · 06/01/2026 11:04

Yay! Massive congrats @SWMum9 im so happy for you.

Really feel for everyone waiting on scans, it’s just absolute torture. I hope it’s all good news and congrats to everyone who’s getting good news 🙏🏻

It went well. Heartbeat of 111 and measuring bang on time at 6 weeks 5 days. I was convinced it was going to be a fail so this first hurdle is such a relief.

Thanks @Gems2811. I’ve been thinking of you, stranger on the internet, a lot. I hope your recovery is as good as can be expected.

pagey23 · 06/01/2026 16:38

Awww congratulations!!!! Such lovely news 🥹🥹🥹 I’ve said this before but all these positive stories are giving me so much hope!

I’m on day 1 today after my first SO round and many many non-SO cycles before that. Day 1 is such a weird one because you know officially that you are out but then you don’t have much time to reflect on that because you are already thinking about the upcoming cycle! I’ve been taking these naitre supplements and eating really well. Didn’t binge much over Christmas and I’m exercising a lot too. Trying to keep my stress down but it’s hard because I’m back at work 😩😩😩 heading to CRP next Thursday for follicle scan and intralipid - hopefully my lining is a better this time though I’m debating whether or not to take these estrogen tablets as I have a sluggish liver and don’t process estrogen very well! I might try another option like PRP. Hope everyone is well.

@Deerdancer34how have you been over the past few weeks with everything you have going on? hope you are ok - been thinking of you.

Hopeandfaith1990 · 06/01/2026 18:26

Oh wonderful news @LoudAquaMoose ! I hope the scan relief lasts as long as possible ❤️❤️❤️

@Gems2811 hope you’re doing as okay as possible xx

I take Naitre too @pagey23 my acupuncturist didn’t reckon much of them but I read a lot about how the liquid formula can be superior to tablets and it’s one thing I changed between my failed and successful transfer — obvs can’t say it was down to them but I like them (I do not like the price 🤣) I know what you mean about CD1, depressing as hell but you’re quickly ‘onto the next one’ and feeling hopeful again. Fingers crossed this is your cycle 🥰

@Hopeandfaith1990oh really!! That’s interesting to know. How long were you taking naitre for before you fell pregnant? I was fine with them until my husband told me they smell like vomit (…which in fairness they do 🤣). I hope it makes a difference - the reviews are pretty good but like you say, who knows!!
