Oh yay hope it goes well tomorrow 🩷 do you have many symptoms ?

feeling okay thanks - happy it’s going to be done under general, not had one before but apparently it’s quite unpleasant if you’re awake! Trying not to feel as if I’m ’behind Schedule’ knowing that IVF and TTC rarely goes or abides by any kind of schedule 🤣

@Hopeandfaith1990 You're not behind schedule, you are very much on time 🥰 I had such an issue with timelines, I really had to work on calming myself down. Lots of love to you 😘

MC8 · 29/09/2025 21:24

@Hopeandfaith1990 zero symptoms - but it's so, so early, so trying not to read into it. Oh, definitely good that it's going to be done under general - I haven't had a hysteroscopy but after all my erpcs I woke up feeling teary, happy and in complete disbelief that it all happened without me feeling a thing 😂I totally get you on the schedule thing! I'm a planner (and slight control freak) so have to try really hard to let go...

@Deerdancer34 thank you 💕

Fletchasketch · 29/09/2025 15:35

@Deerdancer34 and @Objectiontime thanks for the good wishes. Scan was this afternoon and we heard a heartbeat for the first time ever. Measuring slightly ahead at 7w1 but know we're very much not out of the woods yet. I was an utter mess going in and Dr Edge was so lovely. Feeling huge relief at least temporarily today.

How is everyone else doing?

@Fletchasketch Absolutely amazing news, so happy for you :) xxx

Fletchasketch · 30/09/2025 10:57

Thanks so much for the lovely comments, the support and solidarity on here is just incredible, I am so so grateful to have found you all. Still a long way to go yet, and conscious that both of my losses were around the 8 week mark, so will definitely start to feel real if we get through the next scan.

@MC8 keeping my fingers crossed for you, these early weeks seem to last an eternity. All the best x

Jecca88 · 30/09/2025 13:52

@Fletchasketch ahh i bet, but if its your first time hearing a heartbeat, just try and hold onto that. Each day, 1 foot in front of the other.

@Hopeandfaith1990 i didn't know you needed a Hysterocopy? I had one in March and i actually had it awake and it was not too bad tbh. Not as bad as the MVA i had. Also my Husband got to be in the room with me. Hoping all goes well my love. I am feeling so frustrated. I just called up Kings and they have no nurses consultation until 28th October, and wanted to check if there was a cancellation - but nothing. I am waiting on my period which is 6 days late, already taken a test and negative, and know that IVF can mess it up. Really wanted to do a transfer in October, just don't understand why a 15 min nurses consultation will prevent that. SOOO frustrating.

Gentle congrats @MC8 glad tests are getting darker, you are doing all you can - keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Hopeandfaith1990 · 01/10/2025 16:04

@Deerdancer34 thanks lovely, I need to write that down and say it out loud to myself everyday!! It’s like a TTC rat race isn’t it sometimes.

@MC8 definitely, and I find symptom spotting almost completely pointless because of all the various medications! Hope you’re doing ok.

@Jecca88 I didn’t really know I needed one either but have accepted the NHS offer as they’re so expensive privately! The consultant basically kept saying my last transfer should have worked, that I had at least a 70% chance of it working (helpful, not) so a hysteroscopy could uncover something to explain why it didn’t? I don’t know. Still going to try naturally this cycle again haha. Even with the surgery.

My period was late too after EC. So sorry about your waiting times, if it’s any consolation my experience has been so similar and I’ve spoken to lots of people who also were the same. I think it’s because IVF is actually so nurse-led, but it doesn’t make it any easier to stomach when it seems so simple to us. So frustrating.

Deerdancer34 · 04/10/2025 10:56

@Hopeandfaith1990 70%! I mean that's good to know but then so terribly disappointing/frustrating that it didn't work. I can only imagine how you feel with that 🥋💓At least you will get checked and then you are armed with more information and give you the best chance on the next round 💪

Hope everyone doing ok ❤️ Xx

Jecca88 · 05/10/2025 12:57

happy Sunday ladies. Real spanner in the works but my period was 9 days late now after all the IVF as expected but just did a pregnancy test this morning and it’s a really strong positive. We have literally had sex twice in the last month - no idea when I ovulated - so idea how pregnant I am. I am in so much shock. I know I have been here before - so scared and also I haven’t been taking the pred, intralipids Progesterone, aspirin or the new drug GSCF. I have started on Pred today and will call CRP tomorrow. Maybe we can save this one.

x

pagey23 · 05/10/2025 13:03

@Jecca88that much be such a shocker but amazing news! Are you close to CRP
amd can pick up meds tomorrow? I think they can also post them to you but ideally you don’t want to wait. Hope they can for you in for intralipids soon! Best of luck 🤞🏻

Jecca88 · 05/10/2025 13:09

Thanks @pagey23 i am about 40 mins away - so luckily quite easy to get there and get meds. Hoping can have the intralipids this week.

pagey23 · 05/10/2025 13:11

amazing - I’m sure they will fit you in and possibly could even get in tomorrow. Is it worth getting a scan too? @Jecca88really hope it works out!!!

MC8 · 05/10/2025 15:56

@Jecca88 oh my gosh, what a shock!! Gentle congratulations, I have everything crossed for you ❤️ x

Hopeandfaith1990 · 05/10/2025 16:02

Whoa @Jecca88 that is so crazy and amazing!! Must feel like a total headfuck. Wow. Could you get the clear blue weeks one to see if that could shed some light? Try not to panic about the meds - remember its never an exact science and you are doing all you can now you know. Sending you a gentle squeeze and gentle congrats. xxx

OP posts:
Fletchasketch · 05/10/2025 17:50

@Jecca88 wow, yes, I'm not surprised that came as a shock. Good that you can get to CRP easily next week. I'm rooting for you that this is your time. As previously mentioned, the clearblue weeks might give you a bit of a clue. Where I am, you can get them on Deliveroo if everything is shut. Sending gentle congratulations and lots of luck your way x

Deerdancer34 · 05/10/2025 21:31

@Jecca88 Oh wow, isn't life a whirlwind! Crossing everything for you 💓🙏

OMG @Jecca88 Amazing news! Gentle congratulations to you. Dont stress about the meds, start as soon as you can and wishing you the absolute best for this one hun xxx

Jecca88 · 06/10/2025 10:08

Thanks everyone, really appreciate all your support and so glad to have this group. I have called the CRP and they said not to worry - they have booked me in tomorrow for intralipids and put the prescription through for GCSF - which i should hopefully get tomorrow.

@Hopeandfaith1990 it is a total headfu*ck, you should have seen me staring at the preg test, like a cartoon character rubbing my eyes as i couldn't believe what i was seeing. It didn't help that i had been at a birthday the night before in central london and got home at 2.30am, also had a few drinks :(. I have ordered the clear blue - should be arriving today so hope can shed a bit of light. Thanks for the tip hun. When is your Hysteroscopy hun?

Hopeandfaith1990 · 06/10/2025 12:54

@Jecca88 that’s great that you can get in tomorrow - will hopefully give a little peace of mind, even temporarily. What is the GCSF again?

Haha I can so image re rubbing your eyes. Bonkers!!

do not worry about the alcohol at all. Remember normal people (eg not serial trackers like us all 😂) conceive and don’t find out for ages and live as normal. And the age old story of all the crack addicts that somehow manage to conceive. Literally every single one of my successful pregnant and given birth friends had been drinking before finding out. You can only act on what you know xxxxx

Hysteroscopy this Friday. We decided not to try and it could compromise the actual Op and it could be dangerous if we conceived (although unlikely). So will be looking ahead to a Nov transfer after this hysteroscopy if all goes well! Xxxx

MC8 · 06/10/2025 21:55

@Jecca88 brilliant you can get the intralipids tomorrow! They were so lovely at CRP when I went last week, so I hope they put you at ease.

@Hopeandfaith1990 best of luck for Friday!

I went for my first acupuncture session in over a year this afternoon and was reminded how relaxing it is - so thank you to everyone who suggested it :) I caught my acupuncturist up on everything since I last saw her and she hadn't heard of CRP/Dr S but was very supportive of the protocol and agreed that it feels aligned with my general history and health which was reassuring.

She mentioned I should be taking probiotics. I think i saw some discussion on probiotics here, is anyone taking them? I can't remember if they're ok to take with the meds (pred, hydroxy, progesterone)? She said to look into Zita West but I'd love any recommendations if anyone is taking them.

She also asked if I've had a uterine biome test done. It's too late for me to do it now, but was wondering if anyone has done it or spoken to Dr S about it?

Fletchasketch · 07/10/2025 09:08

@MC8 glad to hear you had a great acupuncture session, I always come away feeling so relaxed and also cared for, it's worth every penny. I was taking probiotics whilst trying to conceive, I used to get thrush ocasionally but haven't since and so they were worth it just for that. These are the ones recommended by my acupuncturist that I used https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/406222440536?chn=ps&_ul=GB&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A128Ghvf2DRRiocuWXCtvXCA24&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=406222440536&targetid=2361954446071&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9045979&poi=&campaignid=21701214154&mkgroupid=168798367673&rlsatarget=pla-2361954446071&abcId=10027104&merchantid=5614842426&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21701214154&gbraid=0AAAAAD_Lr1cWe2Z_A5MxU_iUOYbF3VcGB&gclid=Cj0KCQjw9JLHBhC-ARIsAK4PhcrUe2_Fam7Bra1g3BGVibSXV-mhLWmPF-79M3WrOJRHKM3oqX_gx2AaAg08EALw_wcB

I'm also curious about the microbiome, and Shehata discusses this on the podcast episode he did with Hannah Pearn. He basically said he's open to it being a factor but that there it's still an evolving field and there's not a huge amount of evidence out there yet. Link to the podcast in case you're interested: https://hannahpearn.com/2025/06/06/101-miscarriage-and-your-immune-system-with-dr-shehata/

Hope you're doing well and surviving the stress of these early weeks. I am approaching the time that my previous losses were so the stress levels are high.

@Jecca88 all the best for the intralipids today. I'm sure you'll feel reassured just being there and knowing that they've been done.

Amazing news, @Jecca88! Wishing you very well for this new pregnancy!

Jecca88 · 07/10/2025 16:34

Hey all, thank you so much for your well wishes and congrats. It means so much. Had my Intralipids this morning and got all my meds topped up. Injections arrived this afternoon so starting them tonight. Has anyone taken the G-CSF before?

I also did a Clear blue and it says 2-3 weeks, so probably only 4 1/2 weeks i reckon. I have my first scan booked in next Friday. I hate early pregnancy - one min i am like maybe this is the one, next i am like its doomed, hoping the miscarriage will happen sooner rather than later.

@MC8 i am going to email the nurses as wanted to ask about Magnesium, i will also ask about Probiotics too. I have had accupunture before - but never when pregnant, but i have a voucher from my birthday that i want to use so think i might go that after the 6 week scan if we make it that far.

x

MC8 · 07/10/2025 21:31

@Fletchasketch thanks so much! It’s interesting isn’t it, I feel if things don’t work out this time I’ll be wondering if this is a factor…it’s a (very expensive) process of elimination going down one route at a time, but I just try and remember we’re doing the best we can with what we know at the time! Anyway, for now probiotics have been ordered. It’s so hard isn’t it - this is also a critical time for me, trying to distract myself as much as possible by watching lots of trash on tv. My 6 week scan is next Wednesday. When’s your next one?

@Jecca88 great you’ve got everything in place so quick - the timings sound good, hope your first injection went ok tonight? I haven’t done g-csf so nothing to add I’m afraid, but I always have a bit of a wobble when I first do injections. Then I get used to it, and feel quite a sense of achievement that I’ve done it! I’m with you on the early weeks - I just want to know so I can deal with it either way. I emailed CRP today to double check on probiotics and they said it was fine.
