I’ve been using one step tests (Internet cheapies) for the last few days and they’ve been coming up with light positives, I had seven in total. This is across two different batches and lots of different urine. They aren’t even grey like an indent they’re light pink!

Today I’ve tested this morning with FMU and they’re blank white. I believe I’ve been getting false positives as I couldn’t get a positive on a frer or clear blue. Please please avoid these tests and the heartache we’ve felt the past few days. I’ve attached pictures for examples!

Really sorry you had this heartache and stress. Looking at your tests, the test line is incomplete/broken - which I think means it’s invalid or faulty. It should be a solid, unbroken line, can be very thin or faint but always solid. I’ve used one step for both pregnancies and all the non successful cycles and also testing that HCG was dropping after miscarriages - and never had the broken lines or false positives. They’ve always been accurate for me so I do wonder if this was a poor few batches from the seller or has expired? How many DPO were you in this test? The thick pink lines like yours normally appear well after a missed period so if this was before then, it’s more likely a bad batch.

Oh @LovelyMuddles im sorry this happened to you, especially over a few days. I know the heart leaping feeling. I do agree with @houwseevryweekend rhat they don’t look like complete lines. But if you’re not already versed in the pain of false positives (some hard lessons learn from clear blue by me) then how would you know.
I also use these and have used them both to test for pregnancy and test during an ectopic pregnancy to check my hcg was coming down. I’ve never had false negs or positives from them, and also never had an unbroken line yet.

I’m really sorry that’s happened to you. Did you use any other brands during that time?

I used them for 2 years and got pregnant twice in that time and they were always accurate for me. I used a ton and got 0 false positives but the times I was pregnant the line progression showed great.
