7dpo - faint positive or nasty indent!?!?!? Easy@home

First of all… I know I’m too early & I know that I should just wait until my period is due. But alas, I have ADHD so here we are….

7dpo and either a NASTY indent or a very faint positive??

I’m going crazy waiting until evening to test again so I find myself on Mumsnet.

To give some context I’m cycle day 23 of a regular cycle that fluctuates between 28-30 days, but more recently been 28 days quite consistently.

Based on my tell tale signs (no temps or LH strips) I ovulated cd 16. Partner and I dtd late that evening, verging on midnight so no idea whether to class that as cd 16 or 17 but nonetheless we were in the fertile window.

I was trying my hardest to resist testing but I had a load of leftover easy@homes (still in date) that I used a few cycles ago (none gave me indents) so I gave it a whirl and well….

See photos attached. The AI app also sees a line.

I KNOW it’s faint which is why I did a second test, thing is I had thrown away my wee thinking there wasn’t a chance in hell the first would be positive.

So the wee for the second test was well.. barely there. Anyway to nobody’s surprise, the second test was negative. It was a different brand (ovum) and is the blue one in the pics.

I’m trying to hold my wee until later this evening and go again, but normally I drink loads of water through the day, so it’s a battle.

Am I being delusional? (Kind answers only)

Disclaimer: either outcome will be fine with us, we’ll be slightly disappointed but our bank accounts certainly won’t be

none of the pics have been edited either fyi

I see a faint line and it's pink in colour which suggests to me that you're pregnant, congratulations 🎉

@Sheffters thank you for replying so quick! I can’t send to any friends as would want it to be a surprise so nice to have mumsnet to turn to! I’m not getting my hopes up just yet with the second test being negative, don’t know if I there just wasn’t enough wee for it or if the first was an indent!! Going to test again later today.

I think it's a positive!

P.s. that test is not easy at home

Lollystar15 · 28/07/2025 18:17

I can't see anything on the ovum test but they gave me an awful pink evap. I can see it clearly on the strip test and I'd say that's positive. Congratulations!

@Ginnygi i realised this as soon as I posted it! Oops. It’s a wondfo

@Lollystar15 id heard that ovum was meant to be really reliable, how annoying you got an evap!! I think the strip test might be an evap but will test again in morning and see
