EWCM but consistent negative LH test after ectopic(+ late for ovulation)

Hi all,

just after some expertise and input on this cycle.

I found out I was pregnancy end of May and then found it was an ectopic pregnancy at the start of June. I was operated on and lost my left tube.

I’ve always ovulated on CD11-ish. The first cycle since my ectopic was consistent with this and test came positive on CD10. I then had my period on CD26 (normal).

This cycle though, my LH tests have been negative I am CD16 and no positive test and I have been testing 3 times a day! I had EWCM yesterday but not today.

what could cause this? It is super late and my period is due in 10 days…

if anyone has any insights that would be appreciated 🥺

Im so sorry to hear what you've been through❤️ I am no expert but didn't want to read and run. I believe so many things can influence our cycles, they can be very susceptible to stress and trauma. Potentially everything you've been through is just catching up on you and messing with things this month.
I think regardless of what the tests say, its no harm to DTD every other day and that way most of your potential fertile days are covered. LH tests stressed me out so bad so I focused on doing that instead and had success. Wishing you all the good vibes on your journey!

Thanks for replying!

We are ‘doing it the old fashioned way’ and trying ignoring the tests but it’s easier said than done!

Hi OP, no advice here but just to say 1. So sorry about your ectopic, and 2. I could have written this EXACT post, rough dates and everything. How spooky.

Also on my 2nd cycle post surgery and feel like this one is a bit weird. Didn't track ovulation (although think it may have been later than my usual CD11). AF also later than my usual cycle, and no spotting this time whereas I always did a few days before...

Agh it must just be a thing.

did your cycles go back to normal after or was the longer cycle the new normal?

I'm not too sure yet because I've only had one period since so can't really tell how long my cycle is now 🥲

Ah right - I’ve just reread it, I get you now.

My other half told me to ring the doctors and I said no because I know they’ll just say wait and see next month!

Aww I really don't blame you, they would probably tell you to just wait 🥲 just got my period, cycle gone from 24/24 to 28 days, but seems normal apart from that. Didn't test for ovulation this cycle but did get EWCM at about the right time

If anyone is stalking this for their own experience - I got a positive LH super late I’m now 7 days after that and no period yet…but negative HCG tests. CD27 so 1/2 days longer than normal
