Clearblue - is it possible to get VERY faint BFP 3 days after implantation or am I imagining things?

TTC no 2. Had very slight spotting on Friday (i.e. 3 days ago) which I hoped might have been implantation? Period is due in 4 days, I know I should wait but just tested with Clearblue and am not sure if I'm imagining a very very faint line whether the positive should be, is this possible if implantation did only happen 3 days ago? There's no-one around I can ask to squint at it up to the light with me - DP is away till tomorrow night. I should have held the stick up to the light before using it - do Clearblue have faint shadows anyway where the lines will be once it's used (I mean when fresh out of the pack)?

So you're about 10 DPO? I got a BFP with dd at DPO (on a digital test - the only time I've ever tested before due on), but I was charting and think my implantation was very early after ov.

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/05/2008 17:28

oops - missed out the 10 in at 10 DPO.

pucca · 26/05/2008 17:36

I had a couple of faint lines on clearblue, and i wasn't pg, i would wait a few days and test again.

Good luck

Guitargirl · 26/05/2008 18:32

Thanks, yes I would be 10 days DPO. I know I need to wait a few more days, now I think am imagining that line...still it gave the neighbours some entertainment, watching me squinting at a pink stick held up to the kitchen window....

Can you take a pic and put it on your profile?

Guitargirl · 26/05/2008 20:01

The more I think about it the more I reckon I imagined it, when I went back to look at it again a bit later it was even fainter. And I am sure that by this time with DD I 'felt' pregnant, was off alcohol, tired, etc. Hmmmmm, maybe I will try again in the morning, it did say in the instructions that if you test early it should be first thing. No patience, that's my problem...

Hi,

I got a faint but def +ve at 9 DPO with first response. Also used access diagnostics ultra early ones which had a faint +ve at 10 days.

May have miscalculated but everything on FF pointed to a definate Ov day.

Hope it shows up tomorrow!

Guitargirl · 27/05/2008 14:10

I did the second Clearblue test this morning and the same result, very faint to the point of imagination line. Knew I should wait a few days but me being me...did a First Response test this afternoon and a still faint but unmistakeable and convincing second line.

It's still very very early days of course so am trying not to get too excited but .

Congratulations

A line is a line!!!!!!!!!

Come and join us on due Fab Feb antenatal thread...

At least you can talk about it there I'm dying to tell EVERYONE but of course cant in real life....

Guitargirl · 28/05/2008 20:51

Thank you! I have had a read of that thread but have avoided joining as am afraid of tempting fate. Ridiculous I know, of course if anything is going to go wrong it will happen whether I have joined an antenatal thread or not...

Do keep us updated Guitargirl! Are you going to test again tomorrow?

Singingintherain · 29/05/2008 18:45

Just happened to me today. Used an internet one and got a very very very faint line on a stick. Kept holding it up to bedroom window to double check as I only saw the little line after 11 minutes.

Just been to Doctors and Nurse did a cassette style Clearview one and this showed a very very faint line too. Nurse was not 100% so she has given me another to do at home. But she thought it was a positive. The one she used was 25ml/u when the one I used was a 10ml/u. Not sure what the difference is.

Here is hoping we get out bfp in the next day or so. Good Luck.

Guitargirl · 29/05/2008 18:53

Fingers crossed! I think am going to do a digital tomorrow just so that there's no need for line squinting...period is due tomorrow I think (irregular cycles at the moment as am still breastfeeding).

Singingintherain - good luck!!!!

and.....

HopingCat · 30/05/2008 09:40

Any news yet?

With DD I got a BFP at 11 DPO. It was a very faint line so of course I tested a few times over the course of that week. Every time I got a faint line, but even when AF didn't turn up and I went to nurse she also got a very faint line. Eventually it was decided I must be pg.

Hope that your faint lines are BFPs like mine was!

Davidsmom · 30/05/2008 12:44

Fingers crossed you will all be joining us on Due feb thread! Understand the tempting fate thing tho.

Most of us there still dont believe we are actually pregnant. I have been testing daily (internet cheapies) just incase the first 2 FR and a digital clearblue were wrong

Even after a +ve am still a POAS addict They just shout out "pee on me, pee on me!!! again x 100

Even tried out the OPK as a pregnancy test- def works!!

Guitargirl · 30/05/2008 12:48

BFP on Clearblue digital!!!! Hurraaaayy!!! . I guess now I can stop testing and start worrying about every twinge/lack of symptoms instead...!
