Heading into my late 30s, have PCOS and recently decided I want children

As the title says really!

I’ll soon be into my late 30s and didn’t actually want children until recently. Soon to get married etc and we both want to have a child in the near future.

We’re both new to this. I was diagnosed with PCOS in my early 20s. Back then I was having between 2 - 3 periods a year but because I didn’t want kids the GP put me on the pill and that was that.

I’ve been on a big health kick the last year and have lost 3.5 stone which has helped with having more periods and my PCOS symptoms reducing. They’re still irregular but I’m having a period every 5 - 6 weeks or so which is a lot better than previously. I am also taking metformin which I’ve been on for over a decade now.

I am worried about my age but I’ve started taking the preferred vitamins, don’t drink or smoke and keeping active and healthy.

Have any other ladies managed to conceive in this situation? I know I am probably getting ahead of myself but I am worried about the PCOS and my age and being able to get pregnant and stay pregnant.

Thank you!
