Hi I posted last week regarding faint positive tests I got I had some light bleeding past couple days so I got a test tonight to take. I did drink a lot due to the hot weather so I don’t know if I’m panicking for nothing. The space in between photos was 5 days.

do you think my bleeding was implantation or something to be of concern? Ill attach photos below thank you x

Ok let me tell you some history. In the olden days we tested once. We got a positive, then we saw a midwife at some point and she took another test. We never ever took tests after a positive. I don’t know how clear blue and the others convinced mums that we should take 1000s of tests. But it only benefits them. Put the tests down, book a medical appointment, relax.

I’ve booked my first appointment already but they can’t help you before 6 weeks so I took one to see if I was losing the pregnancy or not and if I needed to cancel my first scan etc. This time I’ve only took 3 tests I’ve not tested every day as it’s really not good for my mental health

What day did you get your first positive test? Do you know when you ovulated? Have you tried a digital test with weeks to see what that says?

I got my first faint positive maybe 4/5 days ago didn’t test after that, I didn’t track ovulation with tests it was with my apps and they aren’t too reliable with my pcos. My partner thinks it could’ve been implantation bleeding as it was light and no cramping but after past losses I’m worried with the progression.

I’ll pick up a weeks indicator today or tomorrow, I first thought I had lost the pregnancy early so I thought I would take a test to check I just went to closest shop to pick one up.

Exactly. I didn't even know it was a thing to test so many times when you've got a positive 🤷

What time of day did you take the tests? Your levels are higher in the morning and can be diluted, I’d suggest holding off the testing, you’ll stress yourself out so much Lovely x

Aria2015 · 12/07/2025 09:55

I was a serial tester and sadly had several losses. What I have learnt is that line progression and the even the digital tests are not reliable for predicting pregnancy success or failure. I know you're desperate to have some reassurance (I have been in your shoes too!) but only blood tests can really give you a clue at this early stage. You'd need at least two to check levels are increases enough and within the 'normal' limits. If it's an option for you to get bloods done, maybe do that? Otherwise it's sadly a waiting game. Hope everything turns out ok for you. I know it's tough in the early stages.

I took yesterdays at night so was diluted. But yeah I’m not going to test anymore it was just to check if the pregnancy was still there after some bleeding. I have my first 6 week scan booked anyway thank you x

Yeah I’m definitely not testing anymore it isn’t good for your mental health worrying so much. My gp doesn’t offer hcg blood tests so I’m just going to wait until my 6 week scan. The bleeding has since stopped so I’m taking that as a good sign! X
