Need some help! This is my first time using clear blue digital ovulation test!
so I got a static smiley on Friday 4th it stayed solid for 48 hours. I then did another test test after and it was a clear circle.
today I did a test and it’s a flashing smiley. Is this normal? What are the chances I ovulated?😭

So I believe a flashing smiley is when it detects oestrogen but not LH, and then static smiley is when your LH surge is detected. Given that it says to stop testing after you get a static smiley I would surmise that you oestrogen level was still high when you retested but your LH surge has been and gone (I don’t think oestrogen drops suddenly like LH does, I think it’s more of a gradual decline!) the stick learns what your baseline oestrogen level is and measures increases from that, so it may well be fluctuating a little hence neg one day and positive the next! That’s my best guess anyway xx
