Amh level for chances with IVF

I just recently got a AMH test that showed I was at 3.7. I’m getting conflicting advice that it’s is either super low or just slightly lower than normal. I’m 34.

I also don’t know whether this impacts me chances of even being considered for IVF as well as it actually succeeding.

I have a consultation for a fertility doctor in 3 weeks but I’d just like to hear some input before then

My AMH was lower, around 2.4, and I was told that was very low and could affect chances and that it may not work. Ours was NHS, one cycle funded and they were happy to go ahead even with low odds it would work. I’m sure other factors affect success rates too, and your consultant will advise, but for me I needed the highest concentrations of the medication for my body to generate any eggs, and they expected the numbers to be low. We had 3 mature eggs at egg collection. One of which did luckily work out for us and so we have our DS. All the very best for the consultation.

Mine is considered low at 4.2 and I am 43. I am glad you have a meeting with the fertility doctor who I am sure can help as even with a low AMH there is always hope but I would start taking coq10 asap.

Consider buying the book “It Starts with the Egg’.

Also there are two measurements of AMH: ng/ml and pmol

Do make sure your research is corresponding the the correct unit
