Implantation Bleeding

Hello! I would love some advice please!

I have been TTC since the beginning of this year, this last month I have had my usual cycle & ovulated perfectly on time as predicted. I have very regular periods (arrive 1-2 days around predicted dates) and always start/end the same with very similar flow each month.

This month, I believe I’ve had implantation bleeding 9 days post ovulation. It was very light, pale pink and only when I wiped. First thing in the mornings it was slightly darker pink mixed with a bit more mucus, but then went back to extremely pale, very light spotting on a thin pad. It lasted 48 hours or so, which is very unusual for me, I’ve never had this before. I have taken a pregnancy test today, the same day it has stopped and it’s a negative. I’ve googled and on Webmd it recommends to wait 3-6 days after the implantation bleeding to test.

This is very new to me to be honest and I just want to make sure I’m not going mad! Thank you so much in advance for your advice :)

I had implantation bleeding with my Feb pregnancy. It happened around 13dpo for me and I dismissed it as my period starting. It was very light flow, not enough to fill a tampon and was gone within 2 days. That's what made me test 2 days later. You might need some more time for your hcg to build up. Good luck!

I've only just posted this tonight - still in the thick of it.
If it is my period it is much much lighter than usual. It's mostly pink but there are streaks of red and one or two clots, which is why I'm confused. I have absolutely no symptoms and usually I get cramps and moody around period. So I can't work out what's going on!

My last pregnancy I did IVF and I know it's difficult for me to conceive, so I'm worried it's my period being very unhealthy.

annoying) advice is to wait to test. Unfortunately this didn't work out for me. I mc this pregnancy in Feb, followed by a chemical in March. Still TTC baby #1

@Annaep oh are you?! How’re you doing? So it stopped after 48 hours, then two days later had a really light peachy discharge for about two hours with a stretching/pulling feeling?! Then stopped again! I’m holding off taking a test as I worry it’s negative :(

@Annaep Bless you, that sounds super similar to mine, it was mostly super light pinky with mucus and then only in the mornings when I first woke up was a bit of a darker pink blood but after 1 or 2 wipes it went back to pink…I’ve been asked ChatGPT about every symptom so far!

My period was actually due today so I’m going to try and maybe wait till Saturday for a test xx

@Thirls apparently the clear blue tests could already show a positive, but I don't know how reliable they are anyways.

@Annaep Yes I’m thinking of trying the clear blue early detection one most likely tomorrow/Saturday morning if I can hold off! It’s so disappointing seeing the negative test I just have a bit of a fear of testing now haha.

Just taken another test, unfortunately it’s a negative 😞 I’m 30 and have never had that type of bleeding before, so frustrating…but keeping positive for July ☺️ hope it’s a better outcome for you! xx

@Thirls @Annaep I had exactly the same situation this month, had spotting and a light bleed at 7-9dpo, then AF arrived this weekend it's the first time it's ever happened to me! Been TTC for over a year so I have bloods this month so hopefully they might shed some light on it as you're right, it makes you worry about what is going on!

@LuckyDuck93 oh bless you, I hope you get your blood test results soon and it’ll shed some light! I still haven’t actually had my AF since the spotting so I’m going to starting to test again today with my ovulation tests to see if I ovulate when I’m meant to this month. I’ve also ordered some Mucinex as a lot of people say that helps?! I am taking any advice at this point haha - will see if I ovulate when expected this month and I’ll be interested to know…I think if this happens again or I don’t have a usual AF in July I will go to the doctors and see. I hope all goes well with you, feel free to message 🩷

@Thirls I started ovulation after the spotting because I was worrying that maybe it'd just been a really early period (mine are so light) so what a waste of tests that was haha😂I'm also doing the cough syrup this month, I tried it a few months ago and when I took it properly I really think it worked, so going to put the effort in this month!

@LuckyDuck93 ohh are you?! I ended up ordering the Mucinex from America haha but if this month doesn’t work I’ll for sure use the cough syrup! I also have a conception cup (I know it’s a bit overkill) but I’m hoping it should help!! I’m worried because I haven’t tested for ovulation yet and it’s been over a week since my spotting started, so hoping I haven’t missed it this month 🫣 x

@Thirls @LuckyDuck93 what do you do with cough syrup/mucinex? This is new to me.

I'm taking this spotting as a very light period and I've started counting again as a new cycle. This is our last month to try naturally before we do IVF next month sadly

@Annaep It’s not proven but a lot of people say that Mucinex/Cough syrup with the ingredient Guaifenesin which thins your mucus and is supposed to help! A lot of people say this has helped them so it’s worth a try?! I’m also taking tumeric/maca root powder in my juices each morning which is supposed to help with hormones!

@Thirls just out of interest, have you got any other symptoms - fatigue or breast tenderness maybe? When I was pregnant last time I had those before I had my positive test. I don't have it now which is why I think it's just an early period

@Annaep nope none of the ‘usual symptoms’! I keep getting hot flushes so badly though I nearly jumped out the window at work yesterday haha! But other than that I would say no other symptoms, I’ve taken an ovulation test again this mid-morning, it’s a super faint line as I should apparently be the first day in my fertile window, so I’m going to see if it develops over the next few days 🩷

I'm sorry - mine was definitely not implantation bleeding. I ended up having 3 very light periods after that, not sure why!

I have very similar story. May I ask what is your color bleeding?

My Bleeding started on day10, Color and flow keep changing a lot. From light pink to brown then pink again and the red (like period but no big clot.) but not full pad. I start to confuse. However I will take a test tmr as planned.
