Cyst on ovary?

I’ve just had an internal scan today which showed I have a corpus luteum cyst on my left ovary - we’re currently TTC.

I was told I ovulated from the left ovary this month on cycle 12-13 but sadly unsuccessful.

my question is - could this cyst be a issue for the reason as of why I can’t get pregnant? I read it means my body didn’t produce enough progesterone? Anyone had this? What does it mean? They never mentioned it in the scan until I’ve just read the write up!

No, a corpus luteum is what is left behind after the egg is released from your ovary and it produces progesterone to support early pregnancy. That is how they know which ovary you ovulated from this month. You wouldn't be able to get pregnant without it
