C-section affect pregnancy?

I’ve been trying to awhile now to get pregnant I’ve had DS about 25 months ago now.

we do the ‘deed.’ Almost every other day from last day of period up to the next.

sadly no avail - it’s been just over 6months now - I have regular periods normal cycles (26.) and present CM but I’ve recently found out that c sections can affect you becoming pregnant? Has anyone struggled with this? Was there any symptoms of issues? I’m so worried😩

Congratulations ❤️ did you try for long? I feel like it’s been forever and I’m just not successful I had no issues with my scar or wound from the outside but I’m worried something might if not healed right inside?

I’ve not heard that before. I had 4 c sections in 6 years so was very lucky it did not affect me. But bodies are funny things. I hope you get your positive soon x

It wasn’t something that crossed my mind until speaking to friends who said the reason it’s taking so long could be secondary infertility? I spoke to some lovely midwives at Tommys but they can’t be 100% sure as they’re still investigating the statistics in this but did say c sections have been known to cause issues.

im just hoping and praying this isn’t the case for me..

im currently 7dpo and I have had some cranmping and back pain but I don’t want to get my hopes up and it’s AF!

A c section will not interfere with fertility as in being able to get pregnant, i asked all these questions to my specialist before agreeing to my first c section. I was explained, The only risked you have with a next pregnancy after having a c section is if your scaring didnt heal properly or you have extra scaring then you can end up with a type of ectopic pregnancy where the embryo implants into the scaring but this isnt something that id worry about what so ever. You can actually get an ultrasound to have it checked. You can see my scaring as its a bit thick but my ivf clinic is not concerned with it nor was my doctor. Depending on your age, if you have tried ttc for 12 months or longer then id suggest having extra tests done. If your 35 to 40 and its been 6 months id suggest getting Investigations now. Hope this information helps

I'm not sure how it could? My dc are 2 years apart, both csection (1st was emm cs).

im not sure I spoke to a lovely lady at tommys who said that c sections can cause fertility issues in the future making conception harder if not at all.

i definitely think ill speak to a doctor to get a ultrasound to make sure, as it’s been months now and I’m struggling I’m only 27.
