Hi all, looking for some advice. I’ve been off the IUD for 2.5 months now as we’re going to TTC no2 in July. I’ve been tracking my cycles ever since to learn about my ovulation, I’ve been having regular cycles that are 32-33 days long. This predicts ovulation around CD19. I’ve been taking 1-2 OPKs daily in my fertile window but I’m yet to get a remotely strong test. I’m nervous I’m not ovulating but then would I be having regular cycles/periods etc. can someone help me out! TIA x

You may get your peak in the afternoon, I can see you take them in the morning and evening. Some people’s peaks are very quick. On day 19 it seemed stronger than other days. Next time when you get a stronger line like that, test in the afternoon as well. You may catch it then :)

it is possible that you could be having regular bleeding and not ovulating but I think that’s not very likely. You can confirm by temping (which I personally don’t like) or going to an ultrasound before/after you think you will ovulate. Before it should show a dominant follicle. After, you should be able to see the corpus luteum (which means you ovulated). Good luck

Thank you, I’ll do that! It’s weird because when I tracked before TTc no1 I got strong peak tests for a day or so but back then 4 years ago my cycles were the same length they are now which makes me think I must be ovulating. I’ll test more regularly and perhaps switch to that CB one where you get a flashing smiley. I suppose I’ll only know when we start TTC x

I have 28-35 day cycles. I started tracking back in April with the CB digitals and I got a flashing face (on mine flashing meant peak) on day 20 but my period came 7 days later.

May I don’t get a single smiley or flashing smiley, but I OV/conceived around CD15 because that’s the only time that made sense. BFP late on CD27 but by late CD28 I was losing the pregnancy.

I only bled lightly for a few days but took the first day as CD1. This is how my tests have looked this month. I track my temp as well and last Thursday Premom, Flo and Fertility Friend all changed from predicting my OV to happen around CD19/20, to deciding I was 4dpo! From my highest reading on CD15.

My temp has been rising like it should since then so I’m inclined to believe I OV this month, and maybe my baseline is just super low. That could be what’s going on with you.

Do you take your temp too? My peak is sometimes so fast that I don't catch it, so I have to use my temp to confirm ovulation happened, when I see a slight increase I start to test morning and then around 4/5pm.
I also find that if I drink lots of water during the day my tests arent as strong, so that might be part of it 🙂

I would advise against using the CB digital as you can see even less clearly when your actual peak was. CB digital only works by detecting a ‘surge’ but that could mean LH going up for any reason, it may not reach true ‘positive’. Keep going with the cheap strips and just do it a few more times a day around your expected OV date and you’ll catch it :)

Ok thanks all for your advice. I’m due to ovulate on Thursday so testing daily now with FMU and hope to see a rise starting tomorrow or so. I do drink lots of water so maybe that’s it and I’ve read somewhere than someone’s peak could read 1 but someone else’s peak may only be .6 etc, and everyones surges are different strengths as long as it’s consistent and normal for them. I don’t temp as my toddler wakes me up multiple times from 4/5am onwards so I don’t think it would work that well but if I continue with not catching my peak I’ll give it a go x
