Slow rising HCG

I am 5 weeks + 4 days pregnant and recently had two betas taken 48 hours apart. They didn't double, and only went up by 42% from 765 to 1086. I appreciate they are supposed to double 48-72 hours, but I wouldn't even get to that.

I struggled with faint lines on pregnancy tests in the beginning and they really only started getting properly dark at 18/19, so I had a hunch something wasn't right.

Has anyone had a successful pregnancy with slow rising HCG like this?

Midwife called it inconclusive so going for a 3rd tomorrow.

Im so sorry. You may not have caught your double and your doubling rate could be the third day. Iv had slow rising hcg and it be a positive outcome so it can happen. In 2021 I did a 3 day fresh transfer and I didnt get my first squinter until 9dpt which would have been 12dpo. My next test at 11dpt didnt exactly darker like I thought it would so stopped testing and prepared myself for a chemical. At my first beta when I was 14dp3dt, it only came back at around maybe 96 or 92 . My next test 1 week later showed that it hadn't quite hit the doubling rate and by calculations it barely reached doubling each third day so I was told to prepare for a miscarriage. I made it to my 7 week scan where it showed my embryo was 5 days behind but had a flicker, I was also having a lot of spotting and was told it wasn't likely going to be viable, so we waited and waited and had scans each week and each werk the little thing grew bigger and stuck around. That little embryo is now a very robust 3.5yr old boy born in 2022. I know this is the exception and not the rule but it means there is hope.

Wow, that you for this, I really appreciate it.

I agree, you might be the exception but it gives me some hope. ❤️❤️

I hope for you that you have the same ending. And I got what you meant lol. Good luck with your next blood test.
