@ChaE05yeah I have a 4 year old daughter. We are going through such a fun time with her. One day she is great and such a joy to be around. The next day she is pushing boundaries and a teenager in the making 🤣 I didn't appear to have any issues with the scar after I had my daughter however after my medical TFMR I was spotting for up to a week after my period so I had a scan to see if it was fibroids to find out I had the defect. I automatically assumed that was the reason I couldn't get pregnant and managed to get my health insurance to pay for the surgery so didn't have to try to get the NHS to do it (postcode lottery as to whether they will fix a defect or not).
I also am concerned whether I may have endometritis as I dropped a huge clot 2 weeks after my loss and never given antibiotics. GP wasn't concerned so I may ask the consultant on Thursday whether they could prescribe me antibiotics or not. As you can see I am trying to rule out every possibility 🫠🤣
If your NHS fertility clinic does self funded I would recommend it as you will still get some things on the NHS but will be seen quicker and it's cheaper than private IVF clinics

@Muddysocks1what a difference in time! Can I ask what area you are both in? @Mummysparrow

It is! I’m north east Somerset. I’ve heard others in Bristol literally had a few weeks for first appt, so it varies loads. The Reddit TTC UK board sometimes has people sharing wait times in their areas which is helpful

edited to add - when the referral was accepted we could choose between three locations, and each I think have different waiting times BUT I don’t think what it said on the nhs app was accurate! As it said a really really long time which it wasn’t - I think it said about 500 days but it was actually 8 weeks. And they told me 12 weeks on the phone - so all the your inconsistent!!

megan345 · 06/07/2025 20:57

ooh i’m in somerset too @Muddysocks1❤️

@EmPeEf yes, me! I'm CD10. l'm feeling guarded and cautious after such a weird 15 day cycle last time. I will test LH, BD every other day, and just see what happens. Hopefully I manage to fit in my day 21 bloods. If I'm really lucky I'll catch my peak and know when I've ovulated, but at this point just a normal cycle length will be a relief. So keeping my expectations low I guess. You've had quite unpredictable cycles lately too if I remember rightly?

@Taysonic I'm so sad about your updates. I've been reading and hoping and wishing for you. It's incredibly tough. The confusion and not knowing part is awful, and the dread. You're in my thoughts.

Yes, my cycle after my chemical was confusing. Hoping for clearer answers this month.

What do day 21 bloods test for? Will it be progesterone? 15 days is super weird. Are you hoping to get more answers about that or have they said it just “one of those things”. Fingers crossed we both catch our peak though!

3dpo today who’s with me? 🤣 going to be a long week 🤣 so impatient 🤣🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

Me eek!! 🤞🤞🏽🤞🏾🤞🏿

hollyhocks2 · 06/07/2025 22:46

@EmPeEf yes progesterone on day 21. Tbh I haven't contacted the GP about the short cycle - mainly because it's not easy to get hold of a GP - but also because I assume one or more of the tests will shed some light. I am guessing when we discuss the results I can bring it up then. I hope it was a one off. My last loss was December so maybe that's still affecting things, who knows.

Are you feeling optimistic so far this cycle? I was very wobbly a few days this week, I think just the stress of TTC. It takes its toll. But I'm calm this weekend, and hope to take that into next week while I'm hunting down that positive OPK! Good luck to us both.

GreenApple121 · 06/07/2025 23:01

@boredinmy30s @Ec2808 and me! (Around 2-3 days DPO) Longish wait ahead! Hope you’re both feeling ok. Busy week for me so hope will keep me distracted

GreenApple121 · 06/07/2025 23:04

@Nightshift110 Wow, huge congratulations!!

Nightshift110 · 06/07/2025 23:12

@GreenApple121thank you, I'm so surprised. I was sure I wasn't , haven't really had any symptoms , and this is our first month of trying. This line came up within 30 seconds so hoping it'll get stronger the next few days. 🤞🏻

overwork · 06/07/2025 23:15

Every time I come on here there are more positive - congratulations and how exciting.
I’ve got an upset stomach today so now I’m wondering if it could be an implantation sign - that would be a bit more interesting story than just a dodgy prawn!

CoolLimeSheep · 07/07/2025 00:21

Congrats everyone that's had bfp and sending luck with one's that haven't. @Taysonic sorry your going through this! I had a scan where it wasn't in womb did turn out to be eptopic but didn't lose tube just had to have blood tests every 2 days as hcg took 6 weeks to go back down and going epu every 2 days was heartbreaking So I feel for you!
Im deciding to give up now i think 8 years is enough and my moods are terrible every month when af arrives it arrived today. Periods go regular then irregular I just cant keep up with it.
So good luck everyone hope you get some baby dust and rainbow babies. You all deserve it 💓

I actually thought I was going to dread this cycle. I wasn’t looking forward to lots of peeing on sticks to try and get more confirmation about OV, and toyed with the idea of just focusing on sex drive and CM.

But actually I’m feeling pretty positive and excited at the moment. I just really hope we can catch this month before my partner flies out for China early next Sunday for a week. If I’m on for longer than another 28/29 day cycle, I’ll OV whilst he’s away. Just gotta try and pack em in this week and before he leaves 😅

Fingers crossed for your blood test. Can I ask how old you are? This is cycle 3 for us and we’re both 40, so if nothing this or next month, I think we’ll start asking for some tests and help.

Ec2808 · 07/07/2025 06:30

@GreenApple121@boredinmy30syes 4dpo today feeling okay just very impatient 🤣 really hope this is our month what have you got planned to keep busy?🥰

ChaE05 · 07/07/2025 06:43

Ah @Nightshift110so lovely to see another bfp! Congratulations ☺️ how long have you been trying and how old are you? Be good to give us all some hope 🙏 x

Nightshift110 · 07/07/2025 06:47

@ChaE05thank you . I'm still in shock really.
Had coil out 2 cycles ago, this was the first month of unprotected all month.
I'm 35, have a 6 and 4 year old from previous relationship.
Going home from work soon, to do another test, just to see if it's darker 🤣

Papill19 · 07/07/2025 07:03

Hello, I am shaking. I did a test on Saturday morning (8dpo) before going on a hen do, it was a BFN and so I drank a lot on Saturday night. Today (10dpo) I have this…please tell me could this be an evap?? (I don’t even know what that is) I am going to test again with SMU - how long do I need to wait?

Ec2808 · 07/07/2025 07:04

@Papill19 that's a faint positive congratuations! don't worry about saturday night you did not know as long as you don't drink as of now 😘

ChaE05 · 07/07/2025 07:08

@Papill19that's a lovely positive line 🥰 congratulations x

Papill19 · 07/07/2025 07:09

Thank you @ChaE05 and @Ec2808 this if my first so I am really new to this. How long do I need to hold my wee before doing another? I just can’t quite believe it x

Muddysocks1 · 07/07/2025 07:10

Congrats @Papill19 and @Nightshift110 !

Muddysocks1 · 07/07/2025 07:13

11dpo here and stark white. I know there’s still time but feeling less likely and starting to feel demoralised. It’s cycle 15 trying, feel slightly better as know we’ve got the nhs referral, although seems more and more likely we might need IVF which is scary!
two people close to me are pregnant and it just makes me want to avoid them which makes me feel like I’m being a bad support to them. TTC is tough!

Ec2808 · 07/07/2025 07:14

@Papill19 3-4hours if you can and don't drink too much 😍

Nightshift110 · 07/07/2025 08:00

Thanks @Muddysocks1, I still can't believe it. Didn't think it would happen so quick. Last night test at top. This morning at bottom.
