Hi all.

Quick and brief update from me: miscarriage confirmed with the results of today's bloods. They will retest in a week just for... Completeness?

Referred for some recurrent loss bloods to investigate if there are any obvious underlying issues they can help with in the first instance.

Going to take a break from TTC for a while I think... Two MC in four months is quite enough for me.

@ForGiddyDreamer here is a picture of my evap line in may for a point of reference if it helps

I feel like this is alot thinner than @ForGiddyDreamerline!! Hopefully!

ChaE05 · 06/07/2025 16:49

@Taysonic😔 completely understand you wanting to take a break. It's alot to handle and you need to look after yourself. I'm glad they are looking into things for you 🫶 x really sorry x

ForGiddyDreamer · 06/07/2025 17:28

@ChaE05 @Mummysparrow Well I have no self control and did a FRER and it's negative. Well, I thought I could see something if I squinted and turned it around in the light, but if the CB picked it up I'd expect the FRER to too. AF due Thursday or Friday, so sticking to FRER for now and will test Tuesday. I'm so sick of this.

peanutForever · 06/07/2025 17:47

@Taysoniccompletely understand that you need time to heal, so devastated for you x

EmilyF88 · 06/07/2025 18:05

I did an ovum test this morning and it’s totally negative ☹️
I was due today (short luteal phase) and nothing yet so holding out some hope 🤞🏻
If not, at least my luteal phase is lengthening 😂 xxx

EmilyF88 · 06/07/2025 18:07

@TaysonicSo sorry for you loss.
Incase you’ve not already seen, Tommy’s website has a bit of a basic list of blood tests you can order from your GP too xxx

I hadn't seen this, and that would be really useful! Thank you. Will take a look now. ❤️

EmilyF88 · 06/07/2025 18:09

@ForGiddyDreamerthe right have pic is exactly what my positive looked like last time I used those tests! Xx

GreenApple121 · 06/07/2025 18:20

@Taysonic So sorry for your loss, I hope the further investigations and bloods will bring some clarity and help with the future way forward for you.

@Muddysocks1 I usually get ovulation aches too - I thought that was quite a normal thing? Have you heard anything otherwise?

GreenApple121 · 06/07/2025 18:23

@ForGiddyDreamer Not a line expert here at all, but just keeping everything crossed for you!!
(but just on a side line - why do evaps even happen still?! )

Mushroo · 06/07/2025 18:57

Slightly freaked out! I’m not superstitious at all, but my LO (18 months) just came over, rubbed my belly and said ‘baby’ repeatedly.

Shes NEVER done that before, I’m not even sure she’s seen a pregnant lady?!

If I am pregnant proof my first is some kind of seer 😂

ChaE05 · 06/07/2025 19:14

@Mummysparrowi know I was thinking this earlier! I feel like if there was something wrong then there is a reason for not getting pregnant and hopefully we can fix it and then I'll be pregnant lol. But at the same time it's reassuring tests coming back okay. Was your partners semen analysis okay? Can I ask did you pay for the consultation also? It's giving one price for the analysis and then an extra (more expensive) price to discuss the results!

I do too but only around ovulation, this seems to be on/off luteal phase which is a change. I just wondered if it could be some kind of issue with ovaries/tubes, but maybe it is just hormonal or good things happening 🤞🏻

Mummysparrow · 06/07/2025 19:21

@ForGiddyDreamerhow many dpo are you?
@ChaE05yeah my husbands sperm analysis was fine, if anything it shows that he has super sperm so the issue is with me 🤦 we didn't pay for a consultation as the clinic said you can take to the GP if there is any issues.
I have a fertility clinic consultation this Thursday and will be printing all my private test results off and taking them with me

ForGiddyDreamer · 06/07/2025 19:28

@Mummysparrow I ovulated either Fri or Saturday last week, so 8/9dpo. I think the CB was an evap like yours that time

Mummysparrow · 06/07/2025 19:29

@ForGiddyDreamerstill early, fingers crossed 🤞

ChaE05 · 06/07/2025 19:30

@Mummysparrowah right, will do that also. Not paying an extra 300 quid! Feel like we are spending enough as it is right now. What with blood tests, ovulation sticks, pregnancy tests. Never evening! I think our next step will be fertility clinic. I can imagine the waiting list with the NHS is huge. What cycle are you on? Cycle 8 for me and I'm 38, so just don't feel like time is on my side.
Good news about sperm! Hopefully no major issues with you 🤞

If it helps, we’ve been referred to nhs clinic and it was 8 weeks to first appointment so not as bad as I was expecting

Mummysparrow · 06/07/2025 19:39

@ChaE05yeah don't spend the money I less you are planning to go through with other investigations or treatments with the clinic.
I conceived in February 2024 but had a TFMR in May 24 due to a fatal chromosome abnormality so being trying ever since. I can't get my head around how I conceived easily before but can't now so I feel like something must be wrong. I had my c section scar defect removed and endometriosis removed in January so wasn't allowed to TTC for a few months but then started TTC again in April. I am 36 so I feel like time isn't on my side either. I am already at a higher risk of an abnormality 😭
I would have had to wait 8 months on NHS but I have gone down the self funded NHS route and paying £240 for a consultation and my appointment was bumped up to next week 🙌

ChaE05 · 06/07/2025 20:37

@Mummysparrowah yes sorry I did see your post about going down the self funded route! Oh my 8 months is just ridiculous!!
I'm so sorry this is taking so long after having a TFMR. As if that isn't hard enough. So you have another child/children? How did they pick up the c section defect? I've been reading alot about that amongst all my goggling! I had a c section so another worry to add to the list 🤣 it just doesn't make sense how you can fall pregnant easily one time and then it just doesn't happen again! The whole thing is just so consuming. Yes we definitely want to go further with this as I just don't feel we have time to keep going and 'see what happens' xx

ChaE05 · 06/07/2025 20:38

@Muddysocks1what a difference in time! Can I ask what area you are both in? @Mummysparrow

ChaE05 · 06/07/2025 20:39

@ForGiddyDreamerughh can't believe it was negative on frer but honestly I just don't feel like that is an evap on CB. Everything crossed for testing tomorrow! X
