HSG scan - TTC

Hi All :) i had a HSG scan at the start of June and i'm pretty sure i ovulated the same day or maybe the morning after as my peak LH was the same day. I did try to conceive that cycle but i wasn't very hopeful as I hadn't been able to BD before my peak like i usually would as they said not to before the scan. My scan was clear of any blockages which i was really relieved about but i came on period today.

My questions are - did the HSG help you conceive? if it did, how long after did you fall pregnant?

i have seen a lot of people online say that they conceived within 3 months and many people saying they fell pregnant the cycle after the HSG - i assume this means they didn't fall pregnant in the same cycle as the HSG which gives me some hope for next cycle

Finding this all mentally draining :( any thoughts / experiences would be welcome

I am on cycle 3 after an hsg, also read similar to you, although don't be put off by my experience not being successful yet. I had covid just before my hsg which really messed things up, so cycle one after the hsg was really strange, light period and basically no fertile cm. Only this 3rd cycle has my cm finally went back to normal.

Ive just come on my period (cycle 10 but counting it as 9 due to me likely missing ovulation the month of the HSG) Still not pregnant and really starting to lose hope :( has there been any update with you? glad your cm has gone back to normal

Hi @Pippalove82 Sorry it can be so tough waiting and nothing happening.

But if it gives you hope, yes, I did get a bfp last week! I changed a few things but had actually forgotten about the hsg as it was cycle 4 after it but definitely dont give up hope as that was 2 years of constant trying with nothing for me, so it can happen x

Could i ask what you changed if you don't mind?

Next cycle will be cycle 4 for me i think (thats if i don't include the ovulation i had on the day of my HSG)

Yes and 2 cycles!

@Pippalove82 I started nmn powder back at the start of July (it's meant to help with egg quality and aging effect on the development etc), i had epsom salt baths and a glass of red wine a few times in my fertile week to relax. And I used concieve plus lubrication for the first time. Not sure if it was coincidence or something I tried but either way, keep the hope up! x

Hi @VioIetMoon So sorry to hear about your MC, I’m now on cycle 4 after so hasn’t worked for me unfortunately. Still trying to have hope x
