I’m just looking for some advice if someone has been in a similar situation and can help me out a little bit..

Little bit of a back story, I found out I was pregnant on Wednesday just gone. Had a little bit of spotting from Thursday until today then early hour this morning I started to bleed heavy. I went to the emergency gynaecology department today as EPU is closed until tomorrow. They’ve taken a wee sample, done an internal examination as they couldn’t scan me today. I’m having a scan tomorrow. They’ve said my cervix is still high and closed but they don’t know why I’m bleeding and she doesn’t think it’s an active miscarriage but she did mention it could be a threatened one. The hospital have prescribed me progesterone and I’m just wondering if this has happened to anyone before? Do I take my progesterone now or is it too late? I took a test this morning and it was darker than last nights test so I’m a bit confused because I don’t think this bleeding could even pass for implantation bleeding. I feel like I’m at a loss because I feel like I’m miscarrying but would the progesterone possible save this pregnancy even though I’ve started bleeding heavy.

Sorry for the long post x

So sorry you're going through this. The progesterone won't save the pregnancy if it's a miscarriage, but it won't do any harm it it's not so I'd take it but assume it's a miscarriage and not yet your hopes up.

@Springadorable should I maybe wait until I’ve had my scan and bloods done tomorrow and see what they say before I take it? I’ve had several miscarriages now and it’s emotionally and mentally exhausting. I can never get excited but this would be my first time on progesterone x

It might be worth just waiting then as it's not long, and then if it is sadly bad news you'll have it ready for next time and can take it as soon as you find out you're pregnant. But hopefully it's clinging on somehow! X

A dark test is a good sign. With my chemical last month my test became lighter the same day I started bleeding, then was negative the following day. Crossing fingers for you.

How are you today? Did you get your scan? I have had this before and all worked out. Iv also had plenty of bleeding in alot of my pregnancies due to a haematoma. Fingers xd thats what the bleeding is.

@EmPeEf@Miraclemuma03@Springadorable
afternoon ladies, just a little update.. I’ve been in this morning had a scan but they couldn’t see anything! They’ve sent me for bloods and I get them results this afternoon, they done a wee sample yesterday and tested it and that’s when the bleeding was at its worst and my wee was just red but my test was still positive at the hospital. I’m not sure what to think now, I’m gona wait for my beta results & then ask if I should start taking my progesterone x

So stressful for you. I remember wondering what on earth was going on when I bled with my chemical but continued to test positive for a week after. It really messes with your head!! I hope you get some answers soon x
