TTC and weight

Evening All,

We have been TTC for 2.5 years and whilst have not been directly told my weight is/could be an issue, I am under no illusion that it could be having an impact.

I am currently 94.5kg and when I had me daughter just over 5 years ago, I was 84kg.

Does anyone have any positive conception stories when overweight to give me a bit of piece of mind?

Thanks in Advance!

Hi OP, your height is relevant but using myself as an example if I weighed 94kg I wouldn’t just be overweight, I would be obese on the BMI scale.

Being obese or overweight does impact fertility, lots of research shows that even losing 1lb can boost your fertility alongside the fact that being a healthy weight gives you the best chance of a healthy pregnancy as well as a healthy baby.

I’m 89kg and 5’6. Technically obese but I have a medium frame so look more just overweight. I don’t have many concerns about conceiving at this weight, but I did recently lose over 20kg on a weight loss injection, so I’m a lot healthier than I was.

With my previous children I was a similar weight to this when falling pregnant. No issues. Successful on third and fourth months.
