Ectopic Worry

Hi ladies,

I have recently suffered an ectopic pregnancy, luckily my tube was saved as it was treated with MTX. I am still under observation from the hospital as my levels need to drop below 10 and I’m currently at 49 (dropped down from 5,000!).

Can I please hear some success stories of anyone who has fallen pregnant after an ectopic treated with MTX? As I am so scared when we are able to try again having another ectopic ☹️ it’s really putting me off trying again but I want to feel positive!

Thank you ♥️

I was treated with MTX last year in May. Finally was negative early June (had been bleeding nonstop for about 9 weeks). I have pcos so after this I had no period at all for months (but we weren’t allowed to try for 3 months anyway). End of September I finally used birth control pills to induce a period.

That cycle I naturally ovulated on day 18 and got pregnant with a healthy baby (so technically my very next cycle).
the only thing I made sure was to take folic acid supplements and vitamin d, after I was cleared by the hospital and my hcg was confirmed to be below 2. I spent the months waiting making sure my folic acid levels went back up :)

it did not affect my ability to get pregnant. :)
