Testing after a chemical pregnancy

I tested very faint positive for a week and at 5 weeks and a day I sadly started to bleed. Sorry if TMI but it was very heavy for a week to the point where I was going to going to go to the drs because I was starting to feel a bit weak and faint. I have endometriosis and so I am used to heavy bleeding but this was much worse.

My hormones have been all over the place and my boobs are very sore today. I did a test just now and it’s darker than any of the previous tests. It’s been 10 days of bleeding.

I am not thinking at all that I could be pregnant still given the amount of bleeding but could it be something I should be worried about? I’m not in pain. Has anyone had this before and should I just keep testing and wait and see or do you think I should go to the drs?

I'm sorry you're going through this. With you saying the tests are darker than they have been previously I'd probably speak to the Dr or EPU and see if they can have a look at what is going on.
I know it's individual but I had a miscarriage at 7+1 and only bled for 7 days and was testing lighter each time I checked. Worth getting a second opinion! Xx

Absolutely see someone as soon as you can if you’re still testing as pregnant (and the lines are darker), but you’re bleeding heavily.
It doesn’t sound like you’re having a chemical pregnancy. With mine my tests faded within a day and were negative within 2-3 days.

I agree with pp, with my chemical my hcg levels dropped just as quick as they went up. so I had a negative within a few days. And was just like a normal period.

With my ectopic tho I bled assuming miscarriage. So was shocked to find a strong positive nearly 2 weeks later. I don't want to scare you but I would ring your epu.

Sorry your going through this xxx

Thank you for your replies I am going ring the GP on Monday. This is the test from this morning, which is the darkest one yet so starting to get concerned it could be ectopic. Still no pain just very sore boobs.

Im so sorry your going through this, definitely see a doctor, could be ectopic or you could have a haematoma or even retained products. Iv had something similar in the past but for me i ended up having a successful pregnancy and that pregnancy turned into my now 22yr old daughter. I know for me i was the exception not the rule and it doesnt always end up with a happy ending. I wish you all the luck.
