Possible chemical?

Hey,

We have been TTC #2 for a couple of months. With my 1st it was pretty straightforward, I tested at what I thought was 9dpo, faint bfp, line progressed every day and now at 2.5 happy and healthy!
I had been testing with very cheap amazon tests, preview I think, for about a week now and not even the slightest hint of a line, infact there were lines but they were white 🤦‍♀️
Anyway, I ordered some frer which came yesterday and I got the attached - it looks exactly like my 9dpo with my 1st. The issue is I tested again this AM and its alot less obvious than this, I can't get it to show on a picture its that faint. I'm past my af date by a day now and I would have thought it would be blazingly obviously in your face bfp considering yesterday test right?
Yesterday's test was done at 3pm, the line is definately pink, clarified by dh, it came up within 2 minutes.
I've got lots and lots of cramps, and have had for over a week, hence testing for a week as that was my 1st sign last time, I'm slightly nauseous but that's not unusual the day before my af and I am peeing ALL THE TIME, even through the night which was another symptom of my 1st.
Any advice or anyone else had similar? Clinging onto that I've just peed and drank so much, or there's 10 in there and it's the hook effect 🤣 (jk)

i had the same this month I had very faint lines starting last Wednesday on easy at home and first response however my tests never really got any darker I just put it down to testing at dodge times and not being very good at monitoring my water intake this would have been my first pregnancy so didn’t really know what to expect , I had a early clear blue digital test that was pregnant Friday and got a dating test 1-2weeks on Sunday which was officially a day late for AF, unfortunately I started bleeding yesterday which has pretty much gotten worse over night into today, I have a doctors appointment this afternoon

sorry if this is no help it’s just your experience sounds very very similar to mine just that I don’t have any prior pregnancy experience! Fingers and toes crossed for you that it sticks!

@Amyboop95Iv had a chemical in jan and unfortunately this looks like another like you. Iv looked and af is due tomorrow it’s just too faint to be viable. How does it totally take over your mind!🙈

@Itonlytakesone Tell me about it 😩! I was literally crying to my other half Tuesday saying something didn’t feel right I think I pretty much knew from the start it wouldn’t end well, this is our first month trying and I was in a bit of shock we actually fell on so fast to be honest! It’s strange because normally I get really thick more snotty discharge (sorry tmi) before ovulation and I got hardly any this month to the point I was worried my peak ovulation test wasn’t correct so i wondered if it was just a bad month for us to begin with we are going to carry on straight after but think I’m giving the ovulation strips a rest and just going to do the whole “every other day” a go i started testing from 7dpo this time and can’t be dealing with that again!

definitely try again next time it’s a great thing you’re conceiving. I’m in shock I got a line because I dtd day 9 when I ovulate day 14 (I don’t track so basing that off 28 day cycle) I wasn’t even looking out for it kind of wish I’d not tested but felt a bit sickly last night so thought why not test now I’m driving myself mad. It’s definitely going to be a chemical but I’ll text tomorrow with my spare test out of my 2 pack I got today (25IU!) my af due tomorrow

@Itonlytakesone sorry to hear about your chemical, its truly devastating. I can definately see a line there though! My friend didnt get a strong positive until she was 16dpo so you never know, you might be like her and build your hormones slower. Fingers crossed for you, keep us updated on your test tomorrow.

@Amyboop95 thank you for your response, it does help and in all honesty what I have read is once the tests get fainter or disappear you usually bleed within 48 hours so I'm just waiting on that. I'm so sorry to hear what you're going through, it's such a hard thing TTC. I have everything crossed you get a bfp tomorrow, even with everything going on.

I have some first response coming today so I am going to test again when they come through. I do feel like this is going to end badly. I just have not stopped cramping for a week, and I have a sharp pain to the left every now and then, same as when I was pregnant before and I literally wee every half hour! Symptoms are staying just not the line 😔

unfortunately my miscarriage has been confirmed this afternoon at the doctors 😔

I believe my chemical is complete after a stark white bfn today. It’s still wild how I tested early morning and got a negative, but by midnight that night I got a 1-2 weeks on a digital. Then 36 hours later it was negative again.
It And I have felt so unwell and out of sorts from the hormone surges. I thought I was being silly and moaning about nothing, but apparently it can really eff you up.

@Amyboop95 I am so sorry for you loss. My heart goes out to you, I hope you have lots of support with you. Do you mind if I ask how long you have been ttc? Don't feel you have to answer, I'm just interested.

@EmPeEf I'm sorry to hear you're going through this too. It is crazy how quickly they go from positive to negative. I really hope you start to feel a little better soon, the hormones are crazy at this time and really do affect you.

My tests didn't come today 😡 but they are due tomorrow so I will confirm what I think I already know and take one when they arrive. I haven't had a hint of af starting yet though, I thought I would have done by now, even a little bit of spotting but just lots of cm. The cramps are still almost constant and I'm actually exhausted today, my poor toddler had to sit in bed with me while I took a 2 hour on off nap shortly after I last posted! This is just cruel, my symptoms are getting worse. Roll on tomorrow when I can test and when it's negative I'll book in with my doctor I think if I don't get af.

@EmPeEf I’m same stark white after a bfp yesterday (I tested yesterday afternoon iv not tested today again don’t see point) I feel horrific, really heavy and lethargic like hormones are all over the place. Iv just been shops to buy a load of comfort food so I’ll get in my pjs for a bit today try to prepare me for work tomorrow with my impending period to help me through the day🤮

Line still there a bit today. I feel awful

@Itonlytakesone so sorry you feel awful. I can't tell if the line is the same or darker than yesterday but it's definately still there! Hcg doubles (ish) every 48 hours so I think maybe a couple of days and you'll have a stronger bfp, I have everything crossed for you! My frer aren't here yet, but they usually deliver from amazon after 3 so just waiting and waiting and waiting 😴 I feel pretty awful too today, awful taste in my mouth, exhausted, cramps, nausea but not a hint of af. I did a terrible IC which I've never been able to get anything on, even when pregnant, and I can see a little something but I have no faith in those tests!
I really hope you feel better soon and get a beautiful strong bfp in the next few days x

this was our first month ttc so you could say we was lucky to fall on this fast ,however me and my ex partner (we was together 11years) were trying on and off for years and it never happened, he ended up getting another girl pregnant while we was together So the problem at the time was me

since then Iv lost 7stone and also been tracking my cycle for 3 years as I made the choice when I got with my new partner to not use birth control so we was primarily just using the “barrier method” , I have a hormonal brain tumour which could lead to infertility so basically tried to get as healthy as possible before we started trying this was the first time I have ever got a positive test and it come as a massive shock after being told I would probably need ivf to conceive we are hopeful going to carry on trying once this has passed (I’m 29 btw and my partner is 36 just for reference aha)

@Amyboop95 in my experience, everything happens for a reason, and it seems like you and your ex just didn't quite fit but this new person sounds perfect for you, so much so you had that little bit of light at the end of, what sounds like, a very long tunnel.

I had to Google hormonal brain tumour because I really had never hear of it. It sounds complicated, frustrating, and out right unfair. Having said all that, it clearly doesn't rule your life as you had a bfp this month and even though it didn't last it was something! I wish you and your new partner the very best in life and my fingers and toes are all crossed you finally get that bfp!

So, my test was almost a bfn (less than my first pic, barely even there at all but me and dh could see it but at this stage it should be very very obvious and not less than 2 days ago), which says it's over and whatever it was is fading and this month is a chemical pregnancy. I went out and took a walk with my child and dog, came home and cooked tea and opened a fabulous bottle of wine I've been saving for 3 weeks now (just incase!) My DH and I talked it through and agreed we are both over 35 now and understand these things happen and we always have next month. Just jumping on here to say the exact same thing happened to me yesterday. This was also our first month ttc again, we caught and I surprisingly got a positive a few days ago. Then yesterday turned to negative. I haven’t started bleeding yet but hopefully will soon. It’s shit but also comforting to know I am not alone.
