CD22 and OPK Test

Hi girlies,

I wondered if anyone else has experienced this - I am currently in CD22 (roughly 8DPO) and already ovulated this month. This morning I had EWCM and I am seeing a very faint line on the OPK’s, I thought I would test as I saw the EWCM. I panicked and tested with an HCG, turned out to be one line
What does this mean?!

This is all so very stressful, sometimes I just feel like I don’t know my own body. 😥

Any advice and insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hi OP. If you've got a line on a HCG test then I'd say you're pregnant! The OPKs can sometimes pick up the HCG also. Do you want to send in a pic of your test?

Yes, sure! It doesn’t seem right and surely, I cannot be ovulating twice in a month as everything is pretty much regular. When I ovulated on the 13rh this month, it was confirmed via OPK’s too. This is all so confusing! ☹️

It's normal to have faint lines on LH tests throughout your cycle. You always have LH in your system so those tests are normal!

Discharge could mean something, but again could just be a change in discharge. Hard to see in your pics, but HCG test is negative I think?
It's too early to test for pregnancy anyway, so wait it out till your period is due and you'll have a clear answer.

I can't see anything on the HCG test either. Give it another few days x

Do you mean one line, as in the control line? Would be 2 lines on the HCG if pregnant.

thank you all for clarity. I think what I was trying to say is, is it normal to see two lines on the LH strip later in your cycle, as I have already ovulated this month. I took the HCG but there is only one line.

I had been reading some forums and a few people have been able to pick up pregnancies through LH strips, later confirmed via HCG.

Trying not to care too much, but feeling so odd. Dreams are so vivid (v f’d up, it is shocking lol) my sleep is so deep and I am peeing a lot) - ontop it is super hot due to the great weather x

Sometimes people get really dark positive LH tests after ovulation when they're pregnant. But the ones you have are normal as there is a small level of LH always there. Fingers crossed you get your positive this month🤞🏼

SureLook · 31/05/2025 18:17

@KKD90 as a pp said its normal to always have a faint second line on an OPK throughout your cycle. It would only be if it was super dark after ovulation that that might indicate pregnancy. Fingers crossed you get your BFP soon 🤞🏻

Howspieduh · 01/06/2025 09:01

I'm pretty sure I read that if your LH tests are super dark, indicating possible pregnancy, then you'll also be testing positive on a pregnancy test. I think it's just those that don't have any HCG tests on hand, that test on LH strips they already have.
