How much does ivf cost?

We’ve conceived naturally twice and have two wonderful young children. However it’s just not happening with our 3rd and with my age, soon to be 36, we’re wondering if we should just plough through to ivf. We’d likely need icsi too.

ive had hormone tests and my amh is 37 and all my other hormones are normal.

weve been ttc for now 9 cycles.

reason for looking ivf is that our health insurance covers it with a max lifetime allowance of £15k.

would this be enough for a few rounds? I’ve looked at pricing online and find it deeply confusing.
i was told at 30 I’d never conceive without ivf and Icsi due to my having long cycles ans my husband having low morphology, so I’m a bit scared to go back to the clinics to ask as I found it a v fear mongering place.

the options available to us as care or nurture fertility

I’ve been looking into IVF - not icsi though. Quote is around the £7k mark

What has that got to do with IVF?

Is that per cycle or for a multi round?

We have just paid approx £4700 for a FET (it may end up being more if I need any additional medications) . We’ve looked at amounts for if we are unsuccessful to do another full round (we also need ICSI) and it looks to be about £6-7k.

Around £8k for a full cycle inc. one fresh embryo transfer then around £5k for following FET using frozen embryos from the first cycle.

Just as an aside, mentioning that you were told at 30 that you would never conceive is basically irrelevant if you've subsequently conceived naturally. If anything, that's an excellent sign that you can conceive and carry a pregnancy with no intervention required.

As I said on your other thread, I wouldn't pursue IVF unless you actually need to. It's very tough.

Thank you lovely!

I think the fear hasn’t quite left me, even 5/6 years on xx
