False positive on cheap tests?

Hi all, the last few months my periods have been a bit off on my cycle app it told me my ovulation was 14 days ago, but I've recently started medication which has stopped my period coming so I really cant be sure on dates. I've started to feel sick so took an early test, this looks positive? However i've then took another which is 100% negative. I'm not sure what to think? Surely if my ovulation was 14 days ago it would be a clear positive by now but then with the no period I'm very confused! Has anyone recently had false positives with these cheapo from amazon?

These tests have always been very rubbish and faint for me. Even when it was a blazing positive at 18DPO with the easy @ home tests, these tests looked like yours.

Thanks, I went to the supermarket but no first response only clear blue which is Negative. So i'm thinking the positive must be a false positive

I had one last week just like this looks positive but all others were negative. It ended up being false positive as my period arrived that same day. I won’t use cheapies again I’ll always wait and use a digital!

I have a bunch of cheap ones that are extra sensitive.10mIU/ml instead of 25mlU/ml. Do you know how sensitive the negative one was?

Each test has different sensitivity levels. Depending on which clear blue one, some are 25miu and others 10miu.

give it 2 days and test again as it takes HCG 48hrs to double
