Whatever happened to the monthly ttc threads?

Just wondering when they stopped? [nostalgic]

I think its just that the threads now have different titles but are all basically ttc threads - just more specific You could always start one!

I'm not wanting to start one, I was just feeling nostalgic for when I first joined MN and was wondering where they went...
The first MN thread I joined was "Positive December - All aboard for Santa to bring a BFP!!" in Dec 06

the monthly TTc threads, I liked those .

I joined in Dec 2006 too. Hasn't brought me a BFP, but I know what you mean nomore

the first one i joined was something about easter bunnies in March 2007

hasn't brough me one yet either GG

I hated them!! I got so sick of the "i have been trying to 2 moths to get pregnant and am bso depressed blah blah"

or the

"I got pregnant first cycle with my first 15 babies, why didn't it happen for number 16"

that I had to leave those threads before I posted something really offensive!

Maybe I am just cynical. I think my first thread was tempbuddies5 over a year ago.

Nomoremagnolia - did I read somewhere that you are starting IVF this month? How is is going for you?

I know what you mean NV - I was only on them for a few months, but sometimes I'd go and lurk (and get cross at all the we've been ttc for two weeks and I don't know why I'm not pg yet...) But they did give me the reassurance that some people did get their bfp when I was starting to feel there were no bfps left in the world.
I am doing ivf at the mo - am taking loads of drugs and am expecting the egg collection, fertilization and replacement next week - then the usual 2ww....

My DH and I find out the results of the initial cycle monitoring and other tests in a couple of weeks and then it is probably ICSI for us.

GG Didn't realise you were still around here TBH Sorry it's got to the tests stage - do you have a diagnosis as to why you're FTC? If you do end up having ICIS then come and join the IVFer thread - the ladies on there are fab and have really helped me get my head round IVF. I hope I don't see you there though (in the nicest possible way! )

hi nomore - I usually hang around the 2WW thread so I am about, although have posted in the past on the TTC Since Forever thread .

We have an initial assessment of our FTC and it's clear that my DH has a very low sperm count . The current tests are to rule out anything wrong with me and for further investigation of DH. TBH, I am not really worried about me, but you never know. I have absolutely clockwork cycles and I ovulate ok, but obviously everything has to be ruled in/out. Only an HSG to go and then that's everything done for us for the initial tests . It's the next step I'm getting worried about - ICSI has been mentioned, so I may well be joining the lovely ladies on the IVF thread, but I am unclear about timing.
