I have pcos, this month I got my solid smiley on cd10 (Tuesday the 6th may)
How many dpo is that?
Is that too short a cycle to concieve? Frers are negative. Sorry for so many questions!

Solid smiley means it's your peak LH test. Which means you'll ovulate anything from 12-36 hours after this, but usually 24 hours is a good guess. Everyone's cycles vary slightly. Average day to ovulate is quoted as CD 14. Sounds like you've ovulated CD 11 or 12 which is just ever so slightly earlier than average. Some people ovulate even earlier than this. If you ovulated May 7th, for example, you're only 8DPO today. Could be less as it's possible you ovulated May 8th. Hope this makes sense.

Thank you, that makes sense. If I'm getting negative frers does that mean this month hasn't been successful? That's reassuring to hear it's only slightly early, I just assumed that with pcos it meant things weren't working as they should be.

A negative frer at 8dpo is super normal, you might not have even implanted yet so you still have potentially 6 days until your period would be due, maybe a bit more as can't pinpoint ovulation!

I have seen quite a few threads where tests were negative until 11dpo onwards so if you are around 8dpo then you are testing too early. Good luck!

Definitely still very early to be testing so I wouldn't consider yourself out yet. It's advised to wait until a missed period to test. With PCOS if your periods are irregular and hard to pinpoint when your period is due, then 12-14DPO is a safe bet to test. Fingers crossed for you! 🤞🏼

@Kayleaaa thank you that's really reassuring. @Olika thank you, it's so hard to know what's normal when you see posts about positives at 7dpo and perfect 28 day cycles.

If my peak was 4h is mine 9 or 10 today? X
