Couldn’t see a recent space specifically for those who’ve been trying a bit longer, if anyone wants to chat ☺️

I’ve ticked over a year now, 13 cycles, with one BFP in that time that ended in a chemical. Feel I’ve made loads of changes in the last 6-12 months in terms of lifestyle, diet, supplements, reducing stress etc. The BFP made me feel like I’m so close.. but also so far, and particularly demoralised after no success this month (with the whole more fertile after a miscarriage). I’ve literally just started acupuncture, and had a private consultation and was prescribed progesterone to start next cycle. Also trying to get an NHS referral - but all seems so slow!

I’m only cycle day 1, but trying to be optimistic for this cycle 🤞🏻

@Muddysocks1 Hello, i am in the same boat. Trying for more than a year with one miscarriage at 6 weeks…waiting for nhs referral. I have pcos so bfp seems a bit far plus i am overweight.

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage 😔
Also trying to lose weight here, find it hard because they say about stable blood sugar and regular meals for fertility, and with that I find it hard to keep calories down!

Been ttc #2 for 3 years 7 months. Took 5 years to get pregnant with dc1 , IVF didn’t work and then I had an op for endo to prepare for more IVF and fell pregnant. I expected it to be a similar difficult journey for #2 . I’ve had multiple ovulation induction cycles , IUI, 2 surgeries , HyCoSy and ICSI (didn’t work but have one embryo left) now saving up to do a FET sometime in summer.

Sorry to hear it hasn’t been straightforward for you. It’s awful that it’s all so expensive too!

Hello, I’ve been TTC for just under 2 years and 3 losses. Also been diagnosed with pcos in that time, and was put on metformin which has seemed to help my cycle lengths.
Currently waiting for cytogenetic results on the last loss.
Pretty fed up at the moment of it all!

Hi @Figtree11, sorry to hear of your losses, but glad metformin is helping.

I recently found out a close friend is pregnant, I’m so excited for her, but also reminded me that it hasn’t yet. Several of my friends got pregnant first time trying, makes me feel like a bit of a failure!

How are you guys?

I’m feeling a bit more positive as gp has agreed to fertility referral, I’m on antibiotics now for ureaplasma plus starting progesterone this cycle. Hoping one of these might make a difference 🤞🏻

my gp has also agreed for a fertility referral today….
plus i was having pulling sensations near belly button for 2 days but bfn😭

Figtree11 · 29/05/2025 11:21

Sorry @Muddysocks1 i missed your previous message. I have an appointment soon with the consultant I’m under, I should be getting my cytogenetic test results back from my most recent loss. Feeling very apprehensive. I’m also 8 weeks post loss & still my body isn’t back to normal 😔 so I’m not sure when I can start TTC

That's great about the referral, I hope you hear back from them soon. Everything is such a waiting game isn’t it
