Line eyes!

I'm 42 with unpredictable periods. Not ttc exactly.

Had un protected sex on cycle day 5, thinking it was safe enough. Not sure when I ovulated but I did get some ewcm on cd10 so that's not that likely.

Am now cd 26 and the past few days I noticed my heart has been racing. I tasted a few things over the weekend and they tasted really weird. Then I watched a Disney movie with my daughter and started crying at the end and then felt a wave of nausea. I also started feeling like id heart burn which i mever get. I decided to do a test. It's just a generic test from a pound shop.

As soon as the test started developing, a very faint line came up. I watched the entire test and looked at it as it developed. The very faint line didn't go anywhere. I can see it quite clearly in real life but the camera won't pick it up. I've included a pic anyway.

I had sex around 3 weeks ago so would have assumed the test would be stronger if it was true. I've had another look at the test but it's still light, although pink.

I've had false positives before but am just kind of confused because the line came up as soon as I peed on the test. I was fully expecting it to get darker. I dipped it into a sample or urine and stopped as soon as the dye started to run.

My image is under review but to be honest it's so faint you can hardly see it.

I used an afternoon hold of around 3 hours but with my previous pregnancies, the tests were always very clearly positive by this point, at any stage of the day.

Thank you. It's honestly fine if it's negative but in real life there is a clear line, albeit faint. Another baby wasn't part of the plan but I can see something. I going to put it down to a bad test and act like I never took it lol

If you had sex on CD5 chances are any sperm would live absolute maximum 5 days. Meaning the latest you could have conceived would be CD10. So if you are CD26 now you would be anywhere from 15-20dpo. Most pregnancy tests would be very strong positives by now if you were. The majority of people get positives by 12-14dpo latest. While not impossible to get a positive later, it’s much more unlikely. So personally I would take that test as negative.

I promise there are two lines, I'm sitting here looking at them, one and two 😄 the second line is very faint but it's there. I don't have to squint or look at it from a certain angle.

I did have sex a few more times through the month but we used a condom the other times, and I'm pretty sure Dh put it on from the start.

I really do feel weird though. I'm so tired and have no patience at all; very ratty and just worn out. Maybe it's just PMS but I felt so odd I thought to test.

I also think I can see a second line 👀

Thank you! I can easily see it in real life. It came up straightaway but really I had unprotected sex 3 weeks ago. That would be a blazer by now if true. I've had false lines come up quickly before in the past. Only one way to find out

I see what you're seeing but I don't think it's a + line, it's there at the top but not at the bottom which makes me think it's negative, hope you got something today though🤞🏼

Thanks everyone. To be honest, another baby wasn't on the cards and would be a bit tricky. Am a but relieved that it isn't what I thought it was!
