Hi All.
To start I had a miscarriage on 19th March at 13 weeks. I had my first period on 23rd April lasted 5 days. First time ever I’ve tried to use OPKs. Had bad pains on CD11 but didn’t think nothing of it because I thought you roughly ovulate cd14. I started using opks cd13 and had not one single positive as of yet. Anyway ran out and yesterday on cd16 I had the most HORRIBLE period pains. ALOT of pressure down below and just generally feeling unwell. Didn’t have any opks. Now my question is could that of been ovulation on cd16 or possible pregnancy if I ovulated on cd11 obviously I will take a test but has anyone had anything similar. I’m so stressed after my miscarriage.

Hi OP,

I'm sorry about your miscarriage. I hope you're doing okay and looking after yourself.

You can ovulare from any time, but CD14 is the 'average'. But some people ovulate on CD8! How long is your menstural cycle usually? And is it regular?

The pains could have been ovulation pains, or they could have been something else entirely. Pain isn't usually a reliable way of tracking ovulation.

You can ovulate anything from 12-48 hours after your first positive OPK (not the peak, that's marketing bollocks to get you to use more!) So I start using them from about CD10, although I've never had a positive earlier than CD13.

Thank you for your reply.

They vary from 29-32. Since the miscarriage I wouldn’t have a clue as of yet.

I have however just done a pregnancy test what I had left over and I’m sure there’s a slightest pink line so my head is all over now! I’ve just ordered a boots early it’s on it’s way now. Can’t believe the stress having a miscarriage can cause 😩
