Okay. In Feb. I did old Doctor Gilly McKeiths eating plan whatsit and lost 2 stone in just over a month. Yes, I have got that chubby I lost that much, that quickly!
My period was then late so I tested, negative. 2 weeks later, still no period so tested again, negative. Thought lack of P must be due to sudden weight loss. carried on as normal, drinking etc, occaisional cigarette.
Came to end of last month, still no P so got a Predictor test as they were on special, positive.
Previous negs were Tesco own ones.

Explained all this to Doc who said I would need to lose more weight than that for it to have an adverse impact on periods and I was pregnant but for whatever reason test was wrong. have never had incorrect readings with Tesco ones before, but hey-ho.

Going by LMP, I am 12+2 which fits with symptoms etc. but why would the test at period late 2 weeks read neg? I am worried something is wrong.

MW is coming tomorrow to book me in etc so should hear the heart too. Feel very pregnant etc.

Anyone any thoughts or have experienced similar? TIA.

LadyofTheFlowers - I've been lurking on a nearby thread in conception where MN has not had period for some time but getting -ve pg tests. Another MN said she was around 11 weeks pg and still getting -ve pg tests when scan confirmed healthy pg!

I'm on day 36, normal cycle around 25 days, -ve pg tests last week, keep thinking I feel slightly nauseous, stuck not knowing what to do with my head (am I, aren't I pg, going round and round in my head).

I'm going to be watching this thread to see if I can learn anything. In the meantime, enjoy your pg. Congrats

Thanks bosch.
You would think by preg. no 3 i would have a better hang of this!
Do you feel tired at all? My first symptom was severe exhaustion which, as I did not experience this the first 2 times, thought nothing of it.

Congratulations! Hope all goes well tomorrow with the midwife.

Oh and can you get a dating scan?

LadyOfTheFlowers · 19/05/2008 12:47

I have a scan on the 28th. I thought doc would send me up for an early one but no such luck, so I feel sort of in limbo.
Thanks for the well wishes.

Don't worry Lady - this would be my pg no 4, I really should know better!!!

Am always tired, ds3 is a little tinker for getting up at 5 in the morning for a little drink and then we doze for next hour or so - not really real sleep.

I was surprised that nauseau got worse with each pg - I think my body got better at producing more pg chemicals each time.

I have been hideously sick this time, but not at all with previous.
I also recall labour being 10x harder 2nd time. Quicker, but much harder work with my battered old muscles seeing as the boys are 14m apart. Am dreading this one being even worse! Hopefully though, very swift!
