Ovulation test - positive?

Hi all,

i hope im writing this in the correct topic. I’m relatively new to TTC and have never been pregnant before. We have been trying since Christmas. I have extremely irregular periods due to adenomyoisis (my current period is almost 3 weeks long) my dr advised this should not effect fertility but I have not caught pregnant yet.

sorry if this is TMI but I’m coming to the end of my current period (still actively bleeding but dark blood) I decided to take an ovulation test today to check what was going on but this look positive does it not? I’m struggling to understand how I can ovulate on my period - unless the blood is old?? I’m booking an appointment with my GP to get some more advice but it takes a long time. Just wondered if anyone else had experienced anything similar :(

positive would be the second line is stronger than the control line so I think that is negative! X

Thank you for responding, I’ve since read up on ovulation tests so think you’re right it’s definitely negative. As the second line is quite prominent do you think I’d be due to ovulate within the next week? Think I’ll continue to test everyday and monitor it.

I would keep testing as perhaps you will ovulate soon. Personally my lines were very weak outside my ovulation and then almost control line dark just before I got the dark one.
