Lines not progressing 5 weeks in

Hi all. Obviously I’m in a bit of a panic here as this is all new to me. I actually was told my chances of getting pregnant with my own eggs were less then 2 % due to low ovarian reserve (I’m 43). Miraculously I got my first ever positive last Tuesday. But since then I don’t see the lines improving.
i had no idea about the procedures, called go surgery who palmed me off to hospital maternity unit where you have to register, but wait up to 10 days before being contacted. So booked tests with private clinic, which are later on today.
But obviously panicking that it might be too good to be true and potentially chemical pregnancy. Here are tests, pretty much the same in last 8 days (some done during the day🤦🏻‍♀️, I know, I know, but can’t help it☹️).
anyone had continuous faint lines during weeks 5-6?

In my case it wasn't good. I had these lines in week 5 I think, then started bleeding at 5+5. I got a CB dig 2-3 weeks at 4+5 (so must have reached a HCG level of above 153miu by then) but I think things went pearshaped a few days later, given my bloods were down to 60 miu by 6+2 (and nothing was visible on the scan)

Good luck at the clinic. I hope you get some answers and a better outcome than me!

Aww, I’m so sorry, it’s heartbreaking no matter how far you get😢
To be perfectly honest, that’s sort of what I’m preparing for too. As no symptoms apart from few twinges here and there. I know some people might not even have any symptoms, but still, would probably prefer the positive with symptoms☹️. So far no bleeding. Did you have any other discharge before bleeding? I hate googling stuff yet can’t help myself😔

No, but I had slight bleeding after sex the previous weekend, but as it was dark/browny - and disappeared quickly I thought it was just an aggravated cervix or something. But in retrospect it was probably the first sign things weren't right, together with the fact I was still getting negative OPKs, which struck me as slightly worrying. It was all especially gutting as I'd been trying for 3 years and the main bleed starting 3 years to the very day of my previous MC, but just when I sort of thought/hoped I was safe because I'd got the 2-3 weeks and had been getting fairly decent lines on a variety of test brands. Just not quite decent enough.

Anyway, I wish you all the luck. I never really had symptoms with my two successful pregnancies. Have you tried any other tests or a CB digital? They won't change the outcome but might help you assess whether it's just a duff batch of tests.

I’m really sorry that was the outcome for you. and you going through that loss few times 😔. was that a recent experience?
I’m not feeling optimistic. I did try 3 types of tests last week, CB was 1-2 weeks, all 3 tests positive, just slightly faint. But unfortunately a week later I think it’s getting much lighter. I’ll get the results of blood test tomorrow. Today it’s exactly week 5. This evening I’m feeling tiny what feels like stabs.
I’ve never been pregnant before, was trying for last few years, on and off, stressful few years, looking after someone with dementia, losing job and so on. My fault I didn’t prioritise myself a bit more and didn’t think of a backup either. Too late now, but the positive test gave me a glimpse of hope 😔.

How are things @Kreatela? My recent MC was in March BUT I then fell pregnant again last cycle and am now 4w5d with tests still looking encouraging. So, it just goes to show, you never know what is around the corner. I have everything crossed for you.

I was 39 when we started trying again for this one. The first MC was a surprise pregnancy and it made me realise that I wasn’t yet done. I’ve had moments of wishing I’d realised this sooner, but I’m not sure we could have started again much earlier. We’d moved house 9 months before, and I don’t think we could have easily fit another into our old house, also DD2 was constantly in our bed until she was 3, and probably wouldn’t have been up to sharing me with a littley!

Awww, keeping my fingers (and everything) crossed it all works out for you. I have read so many success stories with the scenario just like yours that it’s giving me hope and seriously hoping it will work out for you (and maybe even for myself).
In my case I miscarried 5w4d, started bleeding whilst we were away for whole day 🤦🏻‍♀️. So I was correct to be concerned about the lines not progressing and getting darker. But after that my ovulation got back to normal so hopefully new cycle starts next week and it’s gonna be fresh start (unless by some weird miracle I’m pregnant already). I haven’t really got time left to waste, so if unsuccessful in next couple of months, I will be looking into the egg donor option. I’m just annoyed that I was prioritising everyone else and everything else but myself for last how many years and now I’m worried that I really left it too late😣.
